Mahhi Vij Shares Cryptic Note On Loving People Who Love Her Kids Amid Divorce From Jay Bhanushali

Popular TV couple, Jay Bhanushali and Mahhi Vij, have been in the news since November 2025. This was because of rumours floated that the duo had trouble in their marriage. On January 4, 2026, Jay and Mahhi announced their separation. The actress, after announcing her divorce, took to her Instagram Stories to share a cryptic quote about loving those who love her kids.

Jay Bhanushali, a while back, released a statement announcing separation from Mahhi. In a joint post, they started off by talking about choosing to part ways on a journey called life, yet they continue to have each other’s backs. Peace, growth, kindness, and humanity have always been the guiding values of the duo. Mahhi also took to her Instagram Stories to share a quote about loving those who love her kids and said they hold a special place in her heart. The quote read:

"I love people that love my kids. They have a special place in my heart forever."

Mahhi and Jay, in their separation announcement note, also penned that for the sake of their kids, Tara, Khushi, and Rajveer, both of them are committed to being the best parents, the best friends, and whatever else it takes to do what is right for them. Jay and Mahhi also emphasised on the fact that there is no 'villain' in their story. A part of their note read:

“Though we walk separate paths, there is no villain in this story and no negativity attached to this decision. Before any conclusions are drawn, please know that we choose peace over drama and sanity above all else. We continue to respect one another, support one another, and remain friends, as we always have been. With mutual respect, we ask for your respect, love, and kindness as we move forward. Mahhi Vij & Jay Bhanushali."

For the unversed, Jay Bhanushali and Mahhi Vij were married for nearly 16 years. They are parents to two foster children- Khushi and Rajveer. Jay and Mahhi also have a biological daughter, Tara. According to a report by Bollywood Life, Jay and Mahhi had separated at the start of 2025. However, the pair had not commented on the same. In November 2025, Mahhi revealed that she did not want to talk about the divorce, but before it got dirty, it was best to address it. She revealed that her divorce papers have been signed. Addressing the matter and claims of demanding Rs. 5 crore alimony, Mahhi took to her YouTube channel to address the same. Mahhi in the vlog revealed:

"Please show me the papers. Until we say something, no one has the right to interfere in our personal lives. Even though we are public figures, we will just tell you as much as we want to. I don’t understand what alimony is. According to me, when a man works hard, no woman has the right to that money when they separate. Until I tell you guys, please don’t believe any news. Please respect our privacy. Jay is my family, he will always be, he is a wonderful father to my child, and is a wonderful human being.”
