Tollywood Superstar, Mahesh Babu's world came crumbling down as his father, Ramesh Garu, left for the heavenly abode on November 15, 2022. For the unversed, Mahesh Babu was born to yesteryear actor, Krishna Garu and his wife, Indira Devi. Superstar Krishna passed away at the age of 79, and his untimely demise left the entire Tollywood in a state of shock.
Mahesh Babu’s father, Krishna suffered a cardiac arrest on November 14, 2022, and he was rushed to Continental Hospital in Hyderabad around midnight. The team of doctors performed CPR for 20 minutes, and he was kept on the ventilator for the next 24 hours. In a statement, the hospital's Managing Director, Guru N. Reddy had said:
"The next 24 hours will be critical. The actor is undergoing treatment in the Intensive Care Unit and is on a ventilator. He (Krishna) was brought to Continental Hospital in Gachibowli around 2 a.m. in an unconscious state after he suffered a cardiac arrest. The cardiologists immediately performed CPR and in 20 minutes he was brought out of cardiac arrest."

Unfortunately, Mahesh Babu's father, Krishna passed away at around 4 am on November 15, 2022. Taking to his Twitter handle, actor, Nikhil Siddhartha shared a post and announced the sad news with the massive fanbase of the late actor. Sharing a picture of 'Superstar' Krishna, Nikhil revealed that the legend icon is no more and prayed for his family. His note can be read as:
"This is Heart Breaking. Our SUPERSTAR KRISHNA Garu is no more. Legend Icon and Inspiration for Generations …. We will all Miss You sir. Praying for strength to the family @ManjulaOfficial, @urstrulyMahesh sir. May god be with you in this Testing time."
'Superstar' Krishna Garu, aka Ghattamaneni Siva Rama Krishna Murthy, was a prominent face in Tollywood. With more than 350 films to his credit, he was regarded as one of the top actors of his time. Well, not just a brilliant actor, Krishna was also a successful director and producer. He was also honoured with the Padma Bhushan in 2009. For the unversed, the late actor was last seen on screen in the 2016 Telugu film, Sri Sri.

2022 hasn't been kind to Mahesh Babu and his family as they lost three people. For the unversed, Mahesh Babu’s mother, Indira Devi, passed away at 4 am on September 28, 2022, in Hyderabad. She had been suffering from age-related health problems for the past few days and was admitted to AIG Hospital in Hyderabad. However, in a tragic turn of events, she bid adieu to the world, leaving her family completely shattered. Moreover, Mahesh Babu's brother, Ramesh Babu passed away in January 2022.
