Maharashtra Hill Suicide, NEET Aspirant Kunal's Old Clips From Happier Times With His Mom Surface

The demise of 18-year-old Kunal Chandgude has left people in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar shaken. The teenager was reportedly a NEET aspirant and was preparing for the competitive exam. He had dreams of becoming a doctor and was academically bright. Old videos of Kunal and his mom, Sangeeta have surfaced from their happier times. In one of them, the mother and son were also seen sipping tea together.

It was on August 21, 2026, when Kunal died by suicide at Khavdya Dongar in Maharashtra. His parents, in an attempt to rescue him, also met their end, and the family was wiped out in a second. Now, in these old clips of Kunal and his mom, Sangeeta, both were seen sipping tea. Kunal was seen scrolling through his phone, sipping tea, and showing his mom something on it.

There is another video posted by a user named Vatsalya Singh in which Kunal is seen washing his mom Sangeeta's feet. The user mentioned how the bright teenager had scored more than 90 percentage in class 10th, and the tweet read:

"92% marks in 10th grade. Dream of becoming a doctor. Age just 18-19 years. Today, he's being portrayed in the news as the boy who insisted on getting an iPhone. But the police's initial investigation revealed that he already had the iPhone, and the dispute was over his EMI and money matters."

The user spoke about how Kunal Chandgude's suicide was not just related to the iPhone. It was also related to the internal pressure he was carrying alone, and he did not get the reassurance he needed. There has been a lot of dispute related to the young Kunal taking his life due to an argument with his parents over an iPhone. An X user found it absurd that Kunal may have taken his life due to an EMI due for the iPhone purchased. The user was not convinced that the dispute was regarding the same and wrote:

"This is zidd, stupidity & absurd. At 19 yrs, he has a fair understanding of his parents' financial situation. One can purchase any item on EMI; interest rates vary by person depending on credit score. It could be overwhelming and overbearing for some, and the penalties and overdue interest can wreck a humble family."

Netizens were convinced that the reality at Kunal's home was toxic due to a family issue. As seen in the clip, Kunal seemed to have a good relationship with his mom, as one user noted, "The teenager was saying he cannot live without her in the full video, so this does not have anything to do with iPhone."

The internet is convinced that the viral claims related to Kunal taking his life over an iPhone EMI are completely untrue. According to the Bharat Post, Kunal already owned an iPhone that his parents had bought. Speaking more about Kunal, he was a student in the Zalta Phata area of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. The bright student wanted to become a doctor and was preparing at Aakash Foundation's coaching classes. Before taking his life, Kunal allegedly told his mom that he had no intention of living and that there was no solution to his life.

Kunal's mom, Sangeeta, also hinted at tensions in their family in her social media posts. The cops are investigating one of her posts where she did not indicate the reference but wrote:

"You took away my and my son's rights over property. You never allowed brothers and parents to unite. You destroyed my happy family. You poisoned my family... You separated my son from his parents. This sin... your next seven generations will suffer. This is my curse."
