The ruling queen of Bollywood had broken millions of hearts when she had tied the knot with Dr Sriram Nene on October 17, 1999. It was pure love due to which she had decided to settle down despite being at the peak of her career.
As everyone is celebrating Bhai Dooj, a few minutes back, Madhuri Dixit took to her IG handle and shared an unseen picture with her brother, Ajit Dixit. As Madhuri was missing Ajit a little extra, she penned a heart-melting note for him. Her note can be read as “As we celebrate the bond of love between brothers & sisters today, I'm missing you a little extra. Can't wait to see you soon #Bhaiduj.”
On Raksha Bandhan, i.e., August 3, 2020, Madhuri Dixit had taken to her IG handle and had shared a video with Ajit Dixit while recollecting some priceless memories of their childhood. Do you know, it was Ajit Dixit, who had played Cupid between Madhuri Dixit and Sriram Nene? Madhuri was ruling Bollywood in the 90s when she had decided to settle down with Dr Nene. She had met Sriram on her brother's request as Sriram was a close friend of Madhuri’s brother, Ajit Dixit, who had lived in the US. After their first meeting, they had started meeting more often, and during the course of time, they had become closer to each other. Once in an interview, when someone had asked why she had gotten married at the peak of her career, she had stated, “Because I was in love.”
On October 17, 2020, Madhuri and Sriram had completed 21 years of marital bliss. To wish her darling husband, Madhuri had taken to her IG handle and had shared beautiful pictures with him. Along with the pictures, she had written, “Today marks the beginning of another year, full of adventures with the man of my dreams. We are so different yet so alike & I am grateful to have you in my life. Happy Anniversary to you & us Ram."
In an interview with Serena Menon, Madhuri had talked about the reason to leave Bollywood. She had said, "Leaving Bollywood wasn't planned. One thing I was clear about — the moment I met the right person in my life, I wouldn't hesitate. I had a simple life at home and was never part of the scene. So it wasn't tough leaving my career behind, because everybody has dreams and a big part of mine was to have a family — a husband and children."
