We are talking about, the television actress, who garnered huge fame with the hit TV series, Yeh Meri Life Hai and after that, she had grabbed a lot of praises for her bold comeback in Vikram Bhatt’s web series, Maaya. Yes, we are talking about Shama Sikander and the actress has talked about her postponed wedding, beau, James Milliron, lockdown routine, and many more in her recent interview.
In an interview with ETimes, popular actress Shama Sikander throws some light on the speculations going on about her marriage plans with her long-term beau, James Milliron. The actress revealed that they had planned a September wedding this year but of course because of the ongoing coronavirus scare and at the moment, the whole plan is on hold. She said, “We had planned a destination wedding in September-end and almost everything, including the venue, was finalised. We were all set to zero in on a date when the pandemic hit. Both our families had started preparing for the big day. James’ family doesn’t travel and so, his parents don’t even have a passport. We had asked them to initiate the paperwork and get their passports made. The actress has shown her concern about the ongoing crisis and has hinted that their wedding will happen according to destiny now. She explained, “Also, COVID-19 has changed our ideas about everything in life. We are just trying to help those around us to get through this tough time. And, that has brought more joy to us. The wedding will happen whenever it has to.” She also revealed that her beau, James is with her in Mumbai and they both are worried about his parents because of the tragic condition in the United States because of COVID-19. She said, “James is with me in Mumbai, and his parents are alone there. We are worried about them, as they are old and his father was unwell around four months ago. We are constantly in touch with them.”
In the end, Shama admitted that she’s blessed to have James with her at the moment because she’s quite scared about the condition in her city, Mumbai and also talked about the new things she is trying in the lockdown. Shama revealed, “I can imagine how difficult the situation can get for those who are living alone. It can take a toll on you emotionally. I am glad that James is with me during this crisis. Besides spending quality time with each other, I am also learning to adapt to a different and a new way of life. I have started meditating more and also valuing things, which we otherwise tend to take for granted.” There’s no denying the fact that this lockdown is teaching us a lot of things and we hope whenever this virus will be gone, we will come out with better versions of ourselves for the Mother Nature.
