For those who don't know, among the islanders, it was Trinity Tatum and Bryce Alakai who emerged as winners. Now, the couple is finally giving fans a glimpse of how things were behind the scenes in the villa.

In a recent interview with People, Trinity Tatum and Bryce Alakai shared the nitty-gritty of their villa life and how the best part of being back in the USA after finishing filming in Fiji is that they finally get to sleep away from the communal bedroom. Trinity shared that with so many people there, some had to even sleep on the couches. She added:
“At one point there were 19 people in there. People were sleeping on couches. Carl [Schmidt’s] big ass was laid on the couch. It’s like we were in a barracks or something.”
According to her, it felt like they were at “basic training sleeping with everybody,” where they would always have to wake up at a certain time. Bryce also claimed that he is happy that he no longer has to share the villa kitchen with “nine other guys.”
While living there, he said that he would establish his dominance by putting the biggest one in the middle. “I was like, ‘I’m cooking now,” he said. In a surprising confession, Bryce claimed that the only reason Trinity chose to re-couple with him following Casa Amor was his bacon, egg, and cheese sandwiches. Trinity agreed with him by saying:
“He makes the best bacon, egg and cheese. But he cooks bacon with butter — trying to give me high cholesterol. But I’m not going to lie, his cooking is really good. I was scared, but it’s good. He would always bring me my food early. I never was last.”
Bryce joked about how he had to even teach a few guys how to flip an egg while being in the villa, and now that the show has ended, they are great cooks. During the same conversation, Bryce and Trinity opened up about how they were both cast on Love Island USA Season 8.
They claimed that they joined the show after being reached out to on Instagram. When they were preparing to enter the villa, they were told that they should not pack for a trip but “pack to move.”
This is why Bryce said that he packed anything and everything that he thought he might require in the LI villa. But despite this, he said that they all ran out of things to wear at one point on the show, prompting the guys to share their outfits.
Similar to Bryce, Trinity also brought several outfits for fear of running out of clothes. She confessed that she even had an entire suitcase full of just heels. When it was time to leave the show, Bryce helped her by putting some of the heels in his own suitcase.
What are Trinity Tatum and Bryce Alakai’s plans after Love Island USA Season 8?
For those unaware, Bryce and Trinity had coupled up on the very first day that they entered the villa. As they went from friends to lovers, in the finale that aired on July 12, 2026, Bryce and Trinity were finally announced the winners of this season. Trinity said:
“I didn’t expect us to win, genuinely. I thought we were going to be second place and that it would be Aniya [Harvey] and Carl. I was like, ‘Expect disappointment so you don’t get disappointed.’ And then [Ariana] said our name and I was like, ‘Oh my gosh.’”
Now that they have left the show, Trinity is thinking about moving from her hometown of Newport News, Va., to LA. This is where Bryce has worked as a model, actor, and DJ for nearly a decade. She said, “It's a very high chance. I don't want to do long distance. Honestly, I really just want to be where he is.”
