Jeremy Jackson rose to fame for playing 'David Hasselhoff' in the much-loved series, Baywatch. However, his personal life also became the centre of attention after he married then-top model and actress, Loni Willison, in 2012. While the couple parted ways just two years later, leaving her to live on the streets, things weren't exactly looking up for Jeremy either.

The former heartthrob found himself in jail after striking a plea deal for allegedly stabbing a woman in Los Angeles in 2015. However, it wasn't the first time Jeremy Jackson was at odds with the law. Jeremy Jackson was born in Newport Beach, California, and began working in the entertainment industry at age 6. His first gig was in the Mattel commercial. However, it wasn't as dreamy as it seemed. In a 2006 episode of E!'s Child Star Confidential, the actor revealed, "All my life, I was raised by a single mom. I never got to know my dad. He was a drug addict, and that's why my mom pretty much kidnapped us out of a bad situation." At just 10 years old, Jeremy landed a role in Baywatch, which he did for nine years, gaining prominence in the film industry and a massive fanbase.

Jeremy Jackson took a turn for the worse during his teenage years. During a conversation with Confidential, the actor revealed that he began to develop an addiction to drugs while filming Baywatch. He recalled how he made around USD 2-3 million from the show and finally had the means to "destroy himself," only to find himself "sucked into a downward spiral of a lifestyle." The actor shared that he would smoke pot every day and did "cocaine until it stopped working." He reflected on how his co-star tried to confront him about doing pot, but he didn't have the heart to tell him: 'That was years ago; now I'm doing coke and ecstasy and speed.'"

In 1999, Jeremy Jackson decided to quit the show when he was at his peak. He admitted that the fame got the best of him, and he started to believe he was better than Baywatch. He recalled, "I walked off one day with my middle finger up in the air, saying, 'Screw you, I'm not coming back to this set.'" He didn't return to the show after that.

Jeremy's drug addiction was in full bloom, evolving from marijuana and cocaine to crystal meth. He shared that he even started cooking it on his own to support his addiction. However, he never sold it to anyone else. At 19, the actor was arrested when he was leaving a residence with "duffel bags full of everything you need to cook crystal meth. He recalled how "undercover cops swarmed on me. I was looking at [charges for] manufacturing methamphetamine, which is a mandatory seven to 35 years. I looked like hell."

Jeremy had a lot of scabs and sores on my face and looked "really, really skinny, really, really pale." Jeremy went to jail for 90 days. While the manufacturing charges were dropped, he was charged with "possession with intent to sell". He did his time and then rehab. He said, "I think it was probably the fifth rehab I had been in."

In 2009, Jeremy Jackson tried to make a comeback. However, he soon found himself addicted to a new steroid-like drug, which was even more dangerous. In a conversation with Celebrity Rehab with Dr Drew, he revealed that he wanted to be the next Sylvester Stallone, and while it started innocently enough, his prior addictions made him prone to it. He was quoted as saying:

"I've spent at least USD 200,000 in the last three years strictly on steroids, pills, and injections. I do these human growth hormone injections…these are normally for AIDS patients or cancer patients or people recovering from serious surgeries to help their tissue repair. It's very extreme, very aggressive. I could not continue to live the way I'm living...I can't do it."

Jeremy met Loni in the early 2010s, and the two tied the knot in 2012. However, what she entered as a happily-ever-after turned out to be a nightmare. The model soon revealed that she was being physically abused by the Baywatch star, which even resulted in several injuries, including cracked ribs and bruises to her face. While Loni never filed charges against Jeremy, the emotional and physical toll was lasting. The couple parted ways in 2014.

While Loni struggled with mental health issues and addiction post their separation, losing her home, jobs, cars and ending up on the streets, things didn't end well for Jeremy either. In 2015, he was kicked off of Celebrity Big Brother after he pulled open model, Cole Goodman's robe in a drunken state. The actor later described the incident as a mixture of "innocence and curiosity," saying he had been "silly, bold and dumb" for lifting the model's robe as she offered assistance.

In April 2015, Jeremy found himself in another legal blunder after he was arrested for allegedly stabbing a man in Westlake, California, and then fleeing the scene. He was reportedly charged with assault with a deadly weapon and released on bail hours later. While he initially claimed it was self-defence, four months later, in August 2015, he was arrested yet again for another alleged stabbing. This time, a woman claimed he stabbed her in the back, arm and leg after they got into an argument about her boyfriend's car. He was reportedly charged with assault with a deadly weapon and criminal threats for the alleged August stabbing.

On October 27, 2015, he was reportedly released from jail on bond and headed straight to a rehabilitation centre on the same day. According to PEOPLE, Jeremy accepted a no-contest plea deal for the August 2015 incident, agreeing to a 270-day jail sentence and five years' probation. After being released from jail, Jackson went on to become a personal trainer.

Today, Jeremy runs a platform named Jeremy Jackson Fitness dedicated to helping others with addiction and mental health. According to reports, he has been working on his sobriety journey since 2017 and is focused on health and wellness.
