Lindsay Clancy's lawyer claims she lives in a state of constant sadness
Lindsay Clancy's lawyer revealed that his client lives in a state of sadness, in an interview with People. Clancy's lawyer, Kevin Reddington, stated that she is on 24/7 suicide watch at Tewksbury Hospital, which is a state psychiatric facility. The lawyer revealed that she is living in her tragic world with the paralysis and the way her life has been heading after the horrific 2023 mishap.
Lindsay has been charged with the murder of her three children, including five-year-old Cora, three-year-old Dawson, and eight-month-old Callan. Prosecutors alleged that Lindsay had knowingly killed her children, who were found strangulated with exercise bands around their necks at their home in Duxbury.
The lawyer revealed that his client was not criminally responsible as she was suffering from postpartum psychosis and was overmedicated back then. He claimed that pharmacology was to be blamed for her state of mind. He said:
"I blame it without hesitation on the medical psychiatric industry and pharmacology. The drugs are... They are Satan’s product, and the damage that was done to this young lady through incompetent, inefficient psychiatric treatment."
The lawyer further stated that during the investigation, there was no evidence that could prove Lindsay did this. She never confessed to it as she had no memory of it, but other people had told her what happened. As Lindsay awaits her fate, her parents and ex-husband, Patrick's parents keep supporting her. Despite their grandchildren being gone, they also understand that it was the medication that turned the beautiful mother into a shell of a human being.
However, the lawyer revealed that the most surprising part about Lindsay is that she is accepting her fate: she is in the hospital getting mental care, she is left paralyzed, her children are no more, her husband divorced her, yet she has accepted it all. The lawyer said:
"She’s in a hospital for mental care, she’s paralyzed, her children are gone, her husband’s divorced her, he’s now remarried,” he says. “She just lives in a state of constant sadness, but she’s very resilient and accepting. She just moves forward."
During Patrick's first-ever interview, he revealed what Lindsay Clancy told him after killing their children. He had asked her if she had remembered anything. She told him it was like a dream and she remembered it the same way.
Patrick revealed that his ex-wife, Lindsay, never asked for forgiveness, but he gave it to her for moving on in life. He revealed that Lindsay was labeled as 'Killer mom', 'Baby Murderer', 'Monster', and whatnot, but in reality, she was just going through a mental illness. Patrick was also asked if he thought he had failed or could have acted differently. To answer it, he stated that he had done the best he could with what he had at that time. Now, he lives with the outcome every day.
Patrick's new wife, Rachel Danis, also joined him for the interview and defended their love story. For the unversed, Patrick and Rachel's appearance together created a lot of stir, as earlier people had been questioning the former's involvement in the murder of his children. However, during the interview, Rachel defended him and called him a 'selfless father'.
