According to TMZ, on Monday, September 27, 2026, prosecutors in Scottsdale, Arizona, filed a criminal complaint with a misdemeanor DUI charge, stemming from Brooks' arrest back in March. Cops say Brooks was pulled over by officers in Scottsdale and, after investigating, he was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.
Officers then brought Dillon Brooks to the Scottsdale City jail, where a mug shot of him was taken and he was processed before being released around 3:30 AM the same day. The media outlet had previously reported that Dillon was also pulled over by police in January 2026 for allegedly driving 85 MPH in a 45 zone.
On the basketball court, Brooks plays small forward for the Suns. However, in recent months, injuries have kept him on the sidelines. According to reports, he suffered a broken hand not long ago. He also plays a villainous role of sorts in the NBA, thanks to his well-documented feud with LeBron James. It was also reported that Dillon Brooks has raked in upwards of USD 105 million so far in his NBA career, which began in 2017.
He's also played for the Memphis Grizzlies and Houston Rockets before joining Phoenix in 2025. Stacey Mitch, the Phoenix Suns Senior Vice President of Communications, told the news outlet:
