Add BollywoodShaadis on GoogleLindsay Clancy's murder case recently ended in a mistrial, but the buzz surrounding the same has not died down one bit. In fact, all eyes are on the case after Lindsay's ex-husband, Patrick Clancy, and his new wife, Rachel Danis, sat down for their televised interview on 60 Minutes. Additionally, it is worth mentioning that even after the mistrial was declared, the legal fight in the case is far from over.
Reports state that Lindsay's defense attorney, Kevin Reddington, is now calling for an investigation into the holdout juror who wanted to find the former nurse guilty of strangling her three children.
What is Lindsay Clancy's defense attorney, Kevin Reddington, asking for regarding the holdout juror?
On Monday, September 21, 2026, Lindsay's attorney Kevin Reddington asked Massachusetts Judge William Sullivan, who oversaw the mistrial, to investigate the holdout juror. According to Reddington, the holdout juror might have inaccurately filled out jury forms or answered questions during the selection process.
He even asked Judge William Sullivan to look at the juror, named Michael Desronvil’s alleged domestic violence history and the use of their phone while the deliberations were ongoing. This will include all texts, calls, and other data from August 27, 2026, through September 4, 2026.
Reddington’s motion further asked the court to preserve all the jury notes and the jury responses, in addition to the courthouse hallway surveillance video taken outside the deliberation room. He reportedly wants the juror to be questioned by Judge Sullivan on the record and in the presence of both the defense and prosecution.

The questions asked would primarily focus on whether the holdout juror was truthful during jury selection and if he had used a phone and received any outside information during deliberations. The motion said, “The inquiry will not touch the substance of deliberations.” As of now, Judge Sullivan has agreed to impound jury information and questionnaires before the trial; however, he is yet to rule on Reddington’s motion.
Ever since Lindsay's case ended in a mistrial, Reddington has been pretty vocal about his frustration with the holdout juror. He said:
“What I was upset about was after that lengthy trial and the work that everyone put into this case, including these jurors that spent literally almost two months away from their home, their job, their family, where a gentleman had an opinion ... but that according to the note from the forelady that he had doubt but he would not apply the law of reasonable doubt as presented by the judge.”
For the unversed, Michael Desronvil was Juror #10 in Lindsay Clancy’s trial. The 48-year-old has publicly admitted that the prosecution’s statements had convinced him that Lindsay was guilty. While the other 11 jurors believed that there was enough reasonable doubt for a not guilty by reason of insanity plea, Michael refused to believe so.
Not only did Michael say he had no doubts about Lindsay Clancy's guilt, but he also claimed in a statement that the other jurors kept trying to cut him off during deliberations. This was whenever he tried to share his own opinion of the case. When he did try to defend himself against the other jurors, they said that he refused to follow the law on reasonable doubt.
More about the Lindsay Clancy trial
There are only a few days left until Lindsay Clancy will head back to Plymouth Superior Court in Massachusetts on September 29, 2026. On the day, Plymouth County District Attorney Tim Cruz is expected to announce whether Lindsay will face a retrial.

It was in January 2023 that Lindsay Clancy was charged with killing her three young children in her home. According to the prosecution, Lindsay “coldly and efficiently” executed her kids. On the other hand, the defense said that Lindsay was “suffering from psychosis." Lindsay has not denied killing her children, and her guilty plea was predicated on a lack of criminal responsibility.
