In her personal life, Kusha got divorced from her ex-husband, Zorawar Ahluwalia, in 2023, and for the same, she had to face a lot of trolls. It was a few years ago when Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner, Elvish Yadav called Kusha 'sasti Kareena Kapoor', and the diva reacted to the same.
In a recent interview with The Lallantop, Kusha Kapila was asked about the controversy around Elvish Yadav calling her 'sasti Kareena Kapoor'. To this, the influencer-turned-actress stated that it was really wrong for Elvish to compare her with Kareena, as he didn't get the Jab We Met actress' consent before it. She further slyly took a dig at Elvish and jokingly mentioned the meme that states, 'no one can talk before Elvish'. Kusha can be quoted as saying:
"What does this mean? Kareena Kapoor has not consented for this, first ask her, she is the begum. How can you use her name anywhere? It’s wrong. Aapne meme nahi dekha, ‘Ye Elvish bhai ke aage koi nahi bol sakta.'"

In the same interview, Khusha Kapila further stated that after the incident, Elvish Yadav wanted to be friends with her. The actress mentioned that while promoting a show, her male co-stars crossed paths with Elvish, and the latter told them how the diva has still kept him in her block list. Kusha added that Elvish told her friends that:
"Kusha ne abhi tak block kiya hai mujhe Instagram pe."
It was back during the pandemic when there had been a race of YouTube vs Tikitok, wherein some YouTubers roasted the influencers. However, it was Elvish Yadav, who, in collaboration with Lakshay Chaudhary, held a roast session for Kusha and other women influencers in the town. It was back then when Elvish tagged Kusha as 'Sasti Kareena Kapoor'. Such a video received a lot of flak from the audience, and it got tagged as 'misogynistic' and 'sexist'. However, such a roast session didn't go well with Kusha, who hit back at the two YouTubers and released an 'un-roast' video as a reply.

It was on June 2023 when Kusha took to her IG handle and announced her separation. In a picture note posted by Kusha, the estranged couple added that their love for them would remain the same as it was, but unfortunately, what they sought didn't align anymore; thus, even after giving it their all, they had to part ways. A few days ago, Kusha was speculated to be in a relationship with Arjun Kapoor. It was reported that she was the reason for which Arjun and Malaika parted ways. However, later, the diva reacted to the same and slammed such baseless rumours.
