In a recent interview with SCREEN, Kritika Kamra got candid about keeping her marriage with Gaurav Kapur low-key. The Kitani Mohabbat Hai star shared that she and Gaurav have known each other for a while, and they were sure about taking the next step in their relationship. Kritika highlighted that both she and Gaurav were on the same page regarding their marriage plans. She added that both of them wanted just two days celebration in the presence of their loved ones. She was quoted as saying:

"We have known each other for a while. It just sort of developed into a thing where we both got sure about taking this step. When I figured that this is my person – my head and my heart both said that, then it was a breeze. We always knew that we weren’t the kind of people who would take six months off to plan a wedding or have a big destination wedding. We were both very excited about sharing our lives together, and we just wanted two days of celebration to mark that beginning, with just our friends and close family members at our home."

In the same interview, Kritika shared that there was something very special about their wedding. She mentioned that nothing was planned, and everything that happened was just a candid moment. The Kitani Mohabbat Hai actress highlighted that both she and Gaurav were in a safe place surrounded by people who loved them so much. Kritika stated earlier that she had seen Gaurav vulnerable, but on their wedding day, he became too emotional. Kritika added that seeing Gaurav teary-eyed, she was just in disbelief. She was quoted as saying:

"There’s something about this day. Nothing was planned, you don’t know what happens in that moment. We were just in a safe space, surrounded by all the people who love us so much. There was this energy that they had. I saw other people before I could see his face, the room was filled with people. And then, I saw tears in his eyes. I have seen him vulnerable before, but not like this. I have never seen him so emotional. I thought I would be the one to cry but looking at him, I was just in disbelief."

Further in the interview, Kritika Kamra reflected that she and Gaurav wanted to start their journey as a married couple from the city where they found themselves. She highlighted that just before their wedding, they were busy working and also returned to their work soon after their marriage. Thus were no disruptions in their lives, and everything was kind of seamless in that sense. She was quoted as saying:

"We wanted to do it in the city where we found ourselves and each other. It would have meant a lot to us, and that’s exactly what we did. We were pretty much working the week before and jumped back into work a week after, so it has all been kind of seamless in that sense. We didn’t rush into anything; we did not have any big plans, no rituals, so there was no schedule, none of that. It was very easily flowing. There was even no entry planned, no prior decision, it just sort of built up naturally."
