On January 18, 2024, the trailer of Kriti Sanon and Shahid Kapoor’s upcoming film, Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya was released and the on-screen couple graced the occasion for the same. However, it was the former who turned heads with her glamorous look. For the day, Kriti wore a black-hued velvet sleeveless corset dress. It featured a slanted thigh-high slit and was adorned with a ruffle detail. She completed her look with open tresses, smokey eyes, subtle base makeup and black heels. Diamond earrings and a ring accentuated her look.

Taking to the discussion portal, Reddit, a user shared a glimpse of Kriti Sanon as she attended the trailer launch of her upcoming film. The clip was captioned as ‘That dress looks weird’. Well, it seems the netizens weren’t impressed with Kriti’s look for the day and taking to the comment section, several internet users pointed out the same. While some called out the diva’s stylist dressing her up inappropriately, others compared her look with that of a scrunchie.

Earlier, in one of her interviews with Curly Tales, Kriti Sanon recalled the first photoshoot ever, which she got done. She remarked being exceedingly self-conscious throughout the process and even credited the photographer, who tolerated and accommodated her hesitations. In her words:
“I wasn’t really an established model at that time; I had just started modelling. It was a big photographer who was very sweet. But I knew I was not really doing well and he could see it on my face. He asked me if this was my first shoot, to which I said yes, and further enquired if I had gotten a portfolio done, to which I said no. Though he said not to worry, in my heart, I was not feeling good about myself. Once I left the shoot, I sat in an auto and cried. I went home and said I don’t think I did well… acha nahi hua.”

It was in 2023 when Kriti Sanon achieved an exceptional milestone in her career and bagged the National Award for Best Actress for her film, Mimi. The diva co-won the accolade along with Alia Bhatt. Right after her magnanimous win, the actress took to her IG handle and dropped a picture note, which captured her feelings. An excerpt of it can be read as:
“Elated, overwhelmed, grateful. Still sinking it in...pinching myself... this has actually happened. The National Award for the Best Actress for Mimi. Thank you to the jury who considered my performance worthy of the most prestigious award. It means the world to me."
