Kriti Sanon is one of the most bankable actresses among the current generation in Bollywood. She has been mesmerising everyone with her talented acting chops, graceful beauty and an impressive kitty of awards, accolades and recognitions. For the unversed, she recently bagged the National Film Award for Best Actress in the film, Mimi and also the Woman Of The Year Award. Moreover, she recently ventured into filmmaking by launching her own production house, Blue Butterfly Films. In fact, she also established herself as a business entrepreneur and launched her own cosmetic brand, Hyphen.

Kriti Sanon recalls her first-ever photoshoot was a complete disaster

In a recent interaction with Curly Tales, Kriti Sanon reminisced the memories of her first photoshoot. She revealed that she was extremely self-conscious throughout her initial years, and her photoshoot was no different. She recalled shooting for a big photographer who was very sweet and quite accommodating for her hesitations. Revealing how after she went back home, she felt that her shoot was a disaster and cried over it, Kriti mentioned:

“I wasn’t really an established model at that time; I had just started modelling. It was  a big photographer who was very sweet. But I knew I was not really doing well and he could see it on my face. He asked me if this was my first shoot, to which I said yes, and further enquired if I had gotten a portfolio done, to which I said no. Though he said not to worry, in my heart, I was not feeling good about myself. Once I left the shoot, I sat in an auto and cried. I went home and said I don’t think I did well… acha nahi hua.”

Kriti shares how she was brutally scolded by her choreographer in front of 50 odd contestants

In the same interaction, Kriti recalled a particular anecdote from her modelling journey, and spilt beans on her first ramp walk. She spoke about how she had a bitter experience, when her choreographer brutally scolded her in front of 50 models, which made her emotional and she started to cry. In her words:

“My first ramp show, the choreographer, I have never worked with her again, she was very rude to me because I messed up the choreography. It was at some farmhouse and heels were getting stuck into the grass and it was my first time. Terrible. I started crying because she was scolding me in front of 50 models and very rudely. I was holding it for long but I cry the moment someone shouts at me.”

When Kriti explained why she chose to name her production house as ‘Blue Butterfly Films’

Ever since Kriti Sanon had announced her new venture into filmmaking and revealed the unique name she chose for the same, netizens started to speculate that it had a connection with the late actor, Sushant Singh Rajput. For the unversed, it was rumoured that Kriti’s new achievement was an ode to her former ex-boyfriend, Sushant, who used to frequently use the blue butterfly emoticon on his social media handles. However, Kriti explained through a clip on her IG handle and revealed that she has been attracted to blue butterflies and she uses the same emoji a lot. Never did she once align it anyway to her co-star and alleged ex-beau, late Sushant Singh Rajput.

When Kriti penned a heartfelt note on receiving the National Award for Best Actress

It was a momentous achievement for Kriti Sanon when she bagged the coveted title of Best Actress at the National Film Awards 2023. She won the award for her performance in the film, Mimi, and tied it with her co-winner, Alia Bhatt for her film, Gangubai Kathiawadi. Taking to her IG handle shortly after, she penned a heartfelt note celebrating her win, and even gave a shoutout to Alia Bhatt for sharing the award with her. An excerpt from her long note can be read as:

“Elated, overwhelmed, grateful. Still sinking it in...pinching myself... this has actually happened. The National Award for the Best Actress for Mimi. Thank you to the jury who considered my performance worthy of the most prestigious award. It means the world to me."
