On October 17, 2023, Kriti Sanon took to her Instagram handle and shared two beautiful pictures with her parents, Rahul Sanon and Geeta Sanon post getting honoured with the National Award. In the first picture, the actress can be seen sitting on her mother's lap, while holding her prestigious award. On the other hand, we can see Kriti's father sitting beside her while holding the certificates. Sharing the pictures, Kriti penned:
"The feeling is not easy to describe in words.. Today will be one of the most memorable days in my life!"

For her special day, Kriti opted for a desi look. The gorgeousness donned a beautiful handloom half-half saree from Manish Malhotra's collection. The diva's saree featured a white-hued pallu, which was adorned with golden work. The lower half of the saree featured pastel-hued strips and golden borders. Kriti styled her exquisite saree with a round-neck blouse, a pair of stud earrings, dewy makeup and a sleek bun.
Soon after the 69th National Awards was announced and Kriti bagged the award for Best Actress, she expressed her happiness about the same, in an interview with ANI. Talking about the same, the actress mentioned that she wants to thank God and her fans as her prayers have been answered. Revealing how she manifested for the National Awards, Kriti said that she has a diary in which she wrote that one day she would receive a national award for her performance in Mimi. In her words:
"I thank God and my fans for everything. My prayers have been answered. I have a diary in which I write about my life, my dreams and my goals. After working in 'Mimi', I had penned down in my diary that I would win the national award for my performance in this film and I won it. I hope this win inspires boys and girls who watch thousands of dreams and want to make them come true."
