The Kardashians have often made headlines, due to their personal and professional lives. However, this time, it is Kourtney Kardashian, who is dominating the headlines after she opened up about a very personal chapter of her life. Even though, she and her husband, Travis Barker share a son named Rocky today, the reality TV personality opened up about facing miscarriage a few years ago. It is worth mentioning that after undergoing the difficult time, she attempted IVF.
Kourtney Kardashian’s husband, Travis is currently hogging the limelight due to the premiere of his documentary, Travis Barker: Love is Louder Than Fear. Recently, it premiered at Tribeca Film Festival. In the same, the reality TV personality, Kourtney opened up about facing miscarriage before welcoming their son, Rocky. It is worth mentioning that Kourtney and Travis got pregnant six-months after dating each other.

Kourtney Kardashian revealed that she and her now-husband, Travis, were very excited about their child and had even planned to name the child, Tulip; however, they could never see the little one’s face. She stated that during the three-month appointment with her doctor, she got to know that the child had no heartbeat. The heartbreaking news left the couple devastated, who cried for several days. Kourtney Kardashian was quoted as saying:
"When we lost the baby, we were devastated. We cried for days."

After experiencing a miscarriage, Kourtney and Travis tried In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF). Reportedly, they explored the idea of IVF in 2022, and since then they have often shared a lot of details on the same. However, they failed to conceive from IVF. In 2022, she shared, "We started an IVF journey, but I stopped. It was a lot. I took a break to just focus on our wedding and getting married." However, in 2024, Kourtney took to her IG Stories to reveal that she faced 5 failed IVF cycles. Her note could be read as:
"I stopped after a year of trying (5 failed IVF cycles, 3 retrievals) my body relaxed and I believed in God's plan for my life. Lots of prayers for whatever was meant to be for us. Also lots of optimizing my health. I know how hard it is to feel like you're not trying, but believing in God's plan and saying your prayers is so powerful. All the best."

After facing multiple issues in pregnancy, finally in November 2023, the couple experienced their greatest happiness, by welcoming their son, Rocky. After the little one’s birth, there were multiple assumptions about their fertility process. Putting all of them to rest, the reality star revealed, "I got pregnant 100% naturally, NOT through IVF…one year after stopping IVF actually." Before giving birth to Rocky, Kourtney explained that she was pushed towards IVF and even though she didn’t find it right, she tried her best. She was quoted as saying:

"I was pushed towards it (IVF) as if it were the only option. The truth is, I felt like I was doing something that wasn't right for me. My intuition was telling me that it wasn't suitable for me—I don't even take medicine, imagine—that it was working against my body rather than for it. When we stopped forcing the process, then it happened."
Kourtney and Travis began dating around 2021, after crossing paths through mutual friends. Soon, they made their relationship Instagram official, and in 2022, the two tied the knot in Las Vegas. It is worth mentioning that Kourtney and Travis had multiple wedding ceremonies, including a lavish celebration in Italy. Over the years, they have often spoken fondly about each other. Today, they are parents to not just Rocky, but also Mason, Penelope, Reign, Landon, Alabama and Atiana, whom they have from their previous relationships.
