Kim Kardashian Reacted To Criticism Over Parenting North, Denied Being Her 'Bestie', 'She Has Rules'

However, people often question Kanye and Kim about the kind of parenting approaches they have. Kim doesn't really talk about it much; however, she recently revealed that she often has to hold North back, who has an interest in being a known face in the entertainment space. Kim, a few months ago, also reacted to people commenting on her parenting style.
Kim Kardashian reacted to people's criticism over her parenting style
Speaking to Khloe In Wonderland, Kim Kardashian said that she's not a judgmental person, and she also doesn't pay attention to what people have to say, since those who are commenting are not in her shoes. According to Kim, people have a lot of misconceptions about her parenting style, and they somehow believe that she tries to be her daughter's best friend.
Kim also added that people often think that she lets North get away with a lot of things, whereas in reality, there's nothing like that, and North has a lot of rules as well. However, Kim lets her daughter express herself in the area of her style statement:
"I'm just not a judgmental person like that, so I try not to pay attention to it. But I think that no one knows unless they're in my shoes what I'm dealing with and how we have to manage certain things from the outside world or even in our life that we have to go through together. I think that the one misconception that people might have is like, 'Oh, she’s trying to be her bestie and lets her get away with a lot'. Like no, Northie actually has a lot of rules. The one area is I do let her express herself."
Kim Kardashian's daughter often grabs attention for fake septum rings or her blue hair, but this is how she wants to express herself and would do it regardless of others' comments, as her mother shared. According to Kim, this is who North is, and thus the mom of four nurtures that. Speaking to Dazed a few weeks back, North talked about her love for piercings and said they help people feel like their true selves. She also expressed her wish to get her bridge pierced; however, she said that she was not allowed to do so, and it aligns with Kim's claim that her daughter has rules.

Just a few weeks back, before her concert, North sat for an interview with Dazed, where she said that she'll turn 14 soon and wished to get a regular job at Starbucks. Not only that, but North also has an interest in crafts, and according to Kim, she expressed her wish to learn to make hats and jewelry; for the same reason, the doting mom introduced practical courses at her home school and arranged a class where she has to learn design, budgeting, and assembling the materials.
Kim also made her learn about budgeting in order to teach her math. Kim also has a brand-building class. For those who don't know, in an interview with PEOPLE, Kim revealed that North was homeschooled. The reason the SKIMS founder decided to provide education to her child through homeschooling was that it gives the 13-year-old a more flexible environment to focus on her creative hobbies and room to explore fashion, music, and entrepreneurship more hands-on, while still focusing on academics.
