In the film, Kiara plays ‘Nadia’, a pivotal role opposite the South Indian actor. Besides Yash and Kiara, the film also stars Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria and Rukmini Vasanth. Now, Kiara has shared an emotional moment she encountered with Yash.
Kiara Advani recalled Yash being teary-eyed when she told him about her pregnancy
During the Chennai pre-release event of Toxic, Kiara Advani spoke about a moment that really touched her heart. Recalling the same, Kiara revealed that when she told Yash and director Geetu Mohandas about her pregnancy, they showed her immense support without even worrying about the film's production. Speaking about the same, she said:
“When I got pregnant, after my family, you were the first two people I shared the news with. In that moment, you didn’t think about how we would finish the film, the logistics, none of that. You both smiled with tears in your eyes, congratulated me and said, ‘We’re going to have the time of our lives now, Kiara.”
In the same conversation, Kiara revealed that the moment was so surreal she couldn’t put it into words because it was overwhelming. Expressing her gratitude to them, she shared, “You truly, truly did make me feel like I could do anything in that moment.”
Yash protected Kiara Advani like a bodyguard
During the music launch of Toxic in Mumbai, Yash revealed that he took care of Kiara on the set like a bodyguard. Since she was pregnant, Yash became extra protective of her. At the event, Yash also heaped praise on Kiara’s commitment to the film, saying he and Geetu had been worried that the role was too demanding for her.
The actor further shared how dedicated Kiara Advani was throughout the film despite being pregnant. Heaping praise on her dedication, Yash revealed:
“The way she dedicated herself, and I must say, even after she was pregnant, she came with 100% commitment. I was more worried; Geetu was more worried. We were like bouncers/bodyguards on set; we used to take care of her, but she has really dedicated herself. Thank you, Kiara; this one is special.”
Before Toxic's release, the film was marred by controversies, especially over its intimate moments. When the romantic track Tabaahi was released, social media users targeted Kiara for her on-screen intimacy with Yash. She faced significant backlash, as many netizens questioned the actress and her moral values. People slammed Kiara for choosing such a bold role post motherhood.
However, Kiara's doting husband, Sidharth Malhotra, shut down all the noise by lending her his support. Taking to his Instagram handle, Sidharth showered love on Kiara for her hard work and dedication. He added that the effort and passion will be seen on the big screen. Sidharth further stated that it will be the best film for the actress.
