The morning of February 24, 2018, had come as a shock for the entire nation when the news of legendary actress, Sridevi Kapoor’s demise had broken. According to the reports, Sridevi had died due to accidental drowning in a Dubai’s hotel’s bathtub. Her death had left her husband, Boney Kapoor and daughters, Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor with a void, and the nation was crying for the girls.
Khushi Kapoor was just 18 when she had lost her mother and she dearly misses her. On February 24, 2021, Khushi had taken to her Instagram handle to post a rare picture of her mother, late Sridevi with Boney Kapoor on her third death anniversary. The candid picture had radiated the love Sridevi and Boney Kapoor had for each other. She had captioned the video with a heart emoticon.
Time and again, Khushi Kapoor remembers her late mother, Sridevi and her happy times with Boney Kapoor. Taking to her IG handle, a few hours back, Khushi shared ‘the coolest’ picture of her parents from one of their vacations. Sridevi and Boney can be seen covered in clothes as they were standing near a lake. Sharing the picture, Khushi wrote, “The coolest.”
On May 18, 2021, we had got a glimpse of Khushi Kapoor’s phone wallpaper, which had talked about how much she misses her mommy. Khushi had taken her pooch out for a walk and was captured by the paparazzi. It was during the walk that we got a glimpse of Khushi's phone wallpaper, which had her childhood picture with her mother, late Sridevi.
In May 2020, during the lockdown, Khushi Kapoor had shared her 'quarantine tape', giving an insight into what kind of person she is! Calling herself a 'normal 19-year-old girl', Khushi had said, "I don’t think I’m the person I want to be yet but I definitely think I’m growing. It’s so rewarding to see people show so much appreciation towards me when I have not even done anything to deserve it yet. I have the power to make someone else happy, it just makes this all the more worth it."
In the video, Khushi had also shared how people used to make fun of her for not looking like her mom, Sridevi or sister, Janhvi. She had added, “People still s**t on me. I’m kind of shy and awkward. Obviously, sometimes, the hate gets to you, especially being so young. I just want people to know I am a real person. I didn’t really know how to handle it, so my self-esteem issues and insecurities stem from that. As a child, it affected the way I saw my parents. I didn’t look like my mom and I didn’t look like my sister, so sometimes, people would point that out and make fun of me. I wasn’t the healthiest about it at some point and it affected the way I would eat and the way I would dress."
