Katrina Kaif is one of the most talented actresses in Bollywood. Despite not having any previous filmy background, the diva has etched a memorable place in the hearts of countless fans and has proved her mettle to reach the top of the ladder. It was with the 2003-movie, Boom that she made her debut, and thereafter, has gradually paved her way towards success. Fast forward to now, she is unbeatably one of the most sought-after actresses in the film industry at the moment.
In an interaction with Mashable India, Katrina Kaif retrospected about her initial years of career, when she used to pursue modelling. The diva shared how her first intention was always to become a model and acting wasn’t in her list of dreams. Talking about some of the most iconic supermodels whom she considered as her role models back then, Katrina said:
“When I started off as a model in Bombay, my intention was to be a model. My role models were Madhu Sapre and Lakshmi Menon. Those were the supermodels of that time. And even Malaika actually. She was still modelling at that time. They were the women I looked up to. And that's what I wanted to be as a model.”

In another segment of the same interview, Katrina also talked about learning how to ride a bike, for many of her films. For the unversed, the actress is known for pulling off daredevil stunts and performing action scenes in her films. Speaking along the same lines, the actress revealed how she learnt to ride a bike in Bandra, as well as Ducati training school in Spain. In her words:
“I did Zindagi Naa Milega Dobara, that was a road trip to Spain. It is a life changing experience, that’s all I can say. I had learnt a little bit here on Reclamation [Bandra] when you used to be able to ride bikes late night. Then, to just get a little more proficient, they actually sent me to the Ducati training school and in Spain when we were there – like, on the days off – so it kind of took my skill a little bit. After shooting the movie, when I came back to Bombay, I was so into riding bikes!”
For the unversed, Katrina Kaif is happily married to the love of her life, Vicky Kaushal. The duo, who kept their courtship a secret for the longest, tied the knot in December 2021. Previously, speaking at the Red Sea Film Festival, she talked about getting nervous and having cold feet right before her wedding. She highlighted that their wedding came about a time when the world was still reeling the after effects of the Covid-19 pandemic and she was worried if everything would fall into place.

Katrina recently grabbed all the spotlight for her phenomenal performance in the film, Tiger 3, opposite Salman Khan. While her fans just couldn’t keep calm with her pathbreaking role in the film, she also received a lot of appreciation from her father-in-law, Sham Kaushal. For the unversed, the latter is one of the most renowned action director in Bollywood. Sharing his reaction to her swift moves, Katrina said:
“The love and support I have got from my family is just so special. Sham ji, my father-in-law, is a very senior action director, so he was the happiest to hear praises for Zoya’s action scenes. He said, 'You have made me very proud. Everyone is saying you do action so well'. So that was really special for me.”
