But what grabbed everyone’s attention was the mystery man alongside her. This man was later identified as Jason Bard Yarmosky. Notably, this is Katie’s first alleged public relationship in quite a while. However, it is worth noting that just months before she debuted her new romance, Katie hinted at wanting to rekindle her romance with one of her exes.

An Instagram post from April 16, 2026, showed a professional shot of Katie Holmes with her arms around her ex-boyfriend, Joshua Jackson. The post was reportedly made to celebrate her reunion with her former Dawson’s Creek co-star in their then-new movie, Happy Hours. The caption of the post could be read as:
“We are so thrilled to be a part of the Tribeca Film Festival this June with our film Happy Hours. So many beautiful people worked on this project. And working with Josh again was a dream.”
Just a few minutes after the post was dropped, fans took to the comments to ship Katie and Josh. Interestingly, eagle-eyed fans noticed that Katie had hit the like button on several of these lovey-dovey comments. One such comment was “They should be a couple.” Another social media user hoped that the post “was a hard launch” for a romantic relationship between the duo.
Another fan wrote, 'This is the marriage that should have happened in real life." A comment read, "Best couple."
For those unaware, Katie and Joshua had dated for nearly a year. Reportedly, this was in the early days of filming Dawson's Creek, between 1998 and 1999. Even after their breakup, they continued working together until the teen drama ended in 2003.
Since then, Joshua married Jodie Turner-Smith in 2019 and had their daughter, Juno, before they split in 2023. Meanwhile, Katie tied the knot with actor Tom Cruise. They were married from 2006 to 2012 and share a daughter named Suri together.
As of now, it seems that Katie and Josh have continued to maintain their friendship. This was evidenced when Joshua gushed about his ex-girlfriend on the Today show in March 2026. While talking about how Katie had written, directed, and starred in Happy Hours, he said:
“Katie wrote this beautiful story for the two of us. There are these people in your life - she's a lifelong friend now - and for us to be able to go back and do this again, and, honestly, for her to be able to create that space for us was kind of magical.”

Katie Holmes was photographed holding hands with artist Jason Bard Yarmosky as they arrived at the premiere of Olivia Wilde’s new film, The Invite. For the event, Katie stunned in a long-sleeved white shirt paired with an orange-patterned silk green skirt and heels. Meanwhile, her alleged new partner went for an all-black ensemble, donning a matching pair of sweater and trousers.
As per reports, Jason is an American artist known for his paintings and drawings. He was born in 1987 in New York. He attended the School of Visual Arts in New York City and graduated with a degree in BFA in 2010.
His paintings and drawings have been exhibited not only in New York but also worldwide, including in Los Angeles, Paris, and Brussels. Some of the museums that have carried Jason’s works are the Brooklyn Museum of Art, the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, the Yellowstone Art Museum, and the San Antonio Museum of Art.
