She could not even recall her last event in Aspen.

Journalist, Katie Couric reportedly has lost a part of her memory, but she is blessed that the doctors did not find anything major. According to a report by Tilt, Katie was in Aspen, Colorado, back on June 27, 2026. She had attended two panels, but after the events she was feeling unwell.
Well, the doctors only found that her blood pressure was slightly elevated; when her vital signs were checked, she was fine. Katie's husband, John Molner, had thought that she had got some kind of altitude sickness. John stated that she had been taken to the hospital for observation; Couric underwent a few tests. Things became different after being taken to the hospital for observation. In his words:
"She was definitely not all there. After being taken to the hospital for observation, Couric underwent a few tests. It was there when she was asked to take a cognitive assessment test—she was asked to state the month and the current President."

After a series of tests, it was seen that Couric did not have a stroke, but they were not able to figure out what led to her symptoms. Katie's husband noted:
"She introduced herself to the nurse every time they came in the room, and she kept asking me why she was here and what she had been doing before she arrived here. And over the next few hours, he asked her variations of that question dozens of times.”
For the unversed, according to the Cleveland Clinic healthcare professionals, Transient Global Amnesia is something that may last to six hours to 24 hours. The memory takes some time to restore or come back. Well, the exact causes of TGA are not known, but doctors always associate it with malfunction of the hippocampus, a region of the brain involved in memory processing.
Well, the condition can be very frightening at the start, and it is revealed that the episode is brief – typically lasting several hours – and almost always resolves completely within 24 hours, leaving only a small ‘gap’ in memory for whatever happened during the event itself.
