Travis Kelce reflects on his proposal to Taylor Swift in the New Heights finale episode
Travis Kelce had quite the milestone year in 2026, and he is looking back on the same on his podcast. For those unaware, on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, Travis and his brother, Jason Kelce, dropped the finale episode of their New Heights podcast. It featured former footballer, Tom Brady in the guest seat.
Although many were expecting Travis to open up about his star-studded nuptials to one of the biggest pop stars, Taylor Swift, there was no wedding talk during the episode. However, the NFL star did open up about his headline-making proposal to Taylor, which the couple announced last year, on August 26, 2025.
Travis revealed that the proposal took place right after Taylor appeared alongside him on the New Heights season premiere, which aired on August 13, 2026. According to him, the episode was “one I'll remember forever.” He said:
“Starting it with Taylor, pretty epic. During that recording the entire time, I'm planning, like, I'm gonna ask this woman to marry me after.”
Well, Travis' statements finally confirmed a long-standing theory among Swifties that the proposal took place directly after the Love Story singer’s New Heights appearance. This is because many fans noticed the imprint of headphones on Taylor's wavy hair.
It is worth noting that although the New Heights episode aired after Travis and Taylor's wedding, the finale was pre-recorded. Those who noticed the same took to the podcast’s Instagram page to comment on this. One social media user wrote, “Okay, but is this pre-recorded?”
The rest of the comments included fans congratulating the couple on the wedding. A user wrote, “I heard someone got married! @killatrav Congratulations!!!” Another wrote, “Mazel Tov to T&T.” A third user penned, “Congrats Trav on the wedding @killatrav.”

According to reports, for their wedding, Travis and Taylor had select spaces at the Madison Square Garden transformed. An insider told People that the decor made the place look like a forest as it included ferns and trees, while the arena seats were covered in white. They further added that for the ceremony, “Taylor walked down the aisle where they said ‘I do.’” Their vows were around 20 minutes each, and Taylor and Travis read them out from gold books.
One of the wedding favours that the couple provided guests at the ceremony included embroidered, monogrammed handkerchiefs. When the ceremony was over, Taylor’s mom, Andrea, invited the guests to a reception room where a stage was set up. Here, Paul McCartney performed The Beatles’ hit song, I Want to Hold Your Hand for the crowd. Another performer was Taylor’s longtime friend and mentor, Stevie Nicks.
Another source told the publication that Travis and Taylor could be seen “beaming” all night during the celebration and that the smile never left their faces. They also shared that there were many games, and a luxury raffle among other things to keep everyone entertained. The source was quoted as saying:
“The whole evening felt very guest-centric. There was always something to do, see, or play. There was never a dull moment.”
Later, Taylor's publicist revealed that she walked down the aisle in a custom Christian Dior Haute Couture gown. They also shared that she and Travis did not have any bridesmaids or groomsmen and that the ceremony was officiated by their friend, Adam Sandler.
