Kate’s plum-colored gown had a plunging neckline, ruched detailing at the waist, and a sweeping skirt. However, her royal necklace was unmissable. She paired her gown with the Queen Mother’s 103-year-old Amethyst Sautoir Necklace.
Queen Alexandra originally gave the necklace to Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon, the future Queen Mother, as a wedding gift in 1923. It features pearls, diamonds, and the matching purple stone. The stunning piece is valued at over USD 66,000. The necklace rarely leaves the vault, as it was last worn by Queen Camilla at the premiere of Skyfall in 2012.
Not just the necklace, Kate Middleton added another royal touch with a beautiful pair of pearl drop earrings. The earrings belonged to William’s late mother, Princess Diana. William looked equally handsome in a black tuxedo.

The lover's knot tiara has a century-old history with the British monarchs. Queen Mary, Queen Elizabeth II's grandmother, originally owned the tiara. It originally featured only pearls, but the Queen later added diamonds and converted it into a tiara. After Princess Diana's marriage, Queen Elizabeth gave the tiara to her as a gift, and later to Kate. The tiara is estimated to be worth around USD 1-2 million.
