Kate Gosselin Fires Back At Son, Collin For Claims That She Would Beat Him, 'Made Up Lies..'

Kate Gosselin is clearly not happy with the way her biological son, Collin, passed mean remarks about her. He is all set to publish his memoir, and ahead of it, he is making bombshell claims and allegations. But the mother is not mothering at all; in fact, she is unfazed by her son, Collin's remarks and claims.

Kate Gosselin reacted to her son's claims that she would beat him when he was two

For the unversed, Collin took to his Instagram Stories and shared a screenshot of a NYP whose headline read Kate Gosselin 'spiralling' ahead of estranged son's bombshell memoir. Atop it, he wrote that Kate knows that it would hit her fans. The post also had a comment which could be read as, "What's done in darkness will always come to light."

After this, Kate Gosselin slammed the online hate after her son's series of allegations. Kate talked about he same in TikTok post. She shared a video of a recent event which happened in her life, but several users took to her comments section to take lie detector test and to prove her son wrong. One user penned, "If you are 100% certain that the accusations against you are lies, my suggestion would be to take him to court and sue him for defamation!" 

However, Kate replied to the person and stated that she cannot sue her own son as rules are different when you are a public figure. But if she could she would have. She shared that years ago she had talked about the law to a top attorney from LA, and he revealed that courts don't honour this when you are a public figure. The user said:

"I can't [because] I'm a public figure. Rules are different, unfortunately, or I [definitely] would! I consulted a high-power LA attorney (you've definitely heard of him) years ago when other [people] were putting crazy stuff out there, and that's what he said. The courts don't honor it if you're in the public eye."

Kate further stated that the page is about her real life and about love, honesty and not for made up accusation. She penned:

"Yep, I sure am! This page is about my real life, and it's all about kindness, love, honesty and definitely not for made up accusation discussion."

Collin accused his mother for beating him when he was young 

As per Collin, his life wasn't an easy one, especially his childhood. In 2024, Collin revealed that he had a rough childhood due to his mother, Kate. He claimed that his mother would get physically agressive and often verbally abused him. He also stated that Kate would sometime zip-tie him and lock him inside a basement for several days at a time. 

His claims were backed by his father, Jon who divorced Kate Gosselin in 2009. Jon once stated that his ex-wife institutionalised their son without any mental health diagnosis and created a diagnosis later. For the unversed, Kate in 2016, shared that then-12-year-old, Collin had special needs and how he need to learn certain strategies to deal with things. Sh went on to publicaly claim that she had struggled with it, and have been dealing it alone. She also stated that it had impacted the entire family. Hence, she was sending him away from home.

Kate once talked about her strained relationship and stated that her son had multiple pyschiatric diagnosis over the time, and he was place in the facility for her saftey and his own well-being. She claimed that her son was a troubled young man and had struggled with facing reality.
