The story of Karuppu follows 'Saravanan', who constantly fights inside the deeply corrupt system. Continue reading to know what happens at the end of the film.
The story of Karuppu focuses on 'Saravanan' (played by Suriya), a lawyer by profession. Being a righteous advocate, 'Saravanan' stands as the protector of the marginalised community during an unrest period. When a threat prevails to demean the values of the community, 'Saravanan' stands up to protect them. As time passes, 'Saravanan's' life gets complicated as he needs to deal with his powerful enemies and cope with the emotional challenges tied to his family and faith. Meanwhile, the audience also meets Suriya as 'God Karuppuswamy'.

The story of Karuppu gains momentum when 'Saravanan' and 'God Karuppuswamy' come together to fight against injustice. A long-standing criminal case involving Indrans as 'Binu's' father and Anagha Maaya Ravi as 'Binu' also comes to light. The father-daughter duo’s journey gets tough when they are being dragged from the police station to the courtroom, and advocate, 'Baby Kannan' enters the scene. 'Baby Kannan' controls the court proceedings alongside a corrupt judge. Trisha Krishnan as 'Preethi' is an honest advocate and is trying her best to fight against the odds in the corrupt system. The narrative reaches its climax when 'Karuppuswamy' enters the human world.

After 'Karuppuswamy' enters the human world, he takes the form of 'Saravanan'. Soon, 'Baby Kannan' and his associates fail to continue with the corruption under 'Karuppuswamy's' influence. Thus, 'Baby Kannan' challenges 'Saravanan', who is now possessed by 'Karuppuswamy', not to use divine powers. However, as there has been a long saying that good always wins over evil, 'Saravanan' also succeeds in exposing the men behind corruption, crimes and killings.

Although on the surface level it seemed like justice had been served, 'Saravanan's victory is not completely satisfying. 'Saravanan' cannot stop the damage caused by the corrupt system, as it has already done. By the time victory comes, many people have already suffered. And 'Saravanan' himself is emotionally affected and doesn’t seem happy with everything. He was caught between following the judicial system and taking revenge to get justice.

Giving an overall review of Karuppu, a user wrote on X (formerly Twitter), "Positives: Suriya anna looks super stylish and delivers a great performance, especially in the 2nd half. Trisha got a solid role and performed really well in the film. 2nd half - 1st half Negatives: Sai Abhyankar's music felt very inconsistent, half average, half good. The villain could've been stronger. Overall: Best Suriya Anna version after a long time. God mode. Watch it in theatres only #Karuppu." Another review can be read as:
"#Karuppu = Pure Fire Blockbuster Rating - 4.5/5 #Suriya delivers one of his most intense and powerful avatars in Karuppu... The film packs raw emotion, mass elevation, powerful dialogues, and a gripping screenplay that keeps the energy soaring throughout. A perfect blend of action, soul, and strong storytelling this is the kind of cinema fans celebrate for years. Suriya’s screen presence, swag, and performance are simply next level. Karuppu isn’t just a movie… it’s an experience loaded with emotion, power, and goosebump moments."
