Elle OTT Release, Lexi Minetree As Elle Showcases Her Life At High School In Legally Blonde Prequel

Legally Blonde fans are all on cloud nine after they got the first look of Elle. The prequel series, which will drop on Amazon Prime Video, showcases Lexi Minetree in the role which was made famous by Reese Witherspoon. She is the executive producer of the project. The trailer of Elle dropped on June 9, 2026, and 'Elle Woods' is shown to be very far away from Los Angeles.

What to expect from Elle, as the trailer showcases the chain of events before Legally Blonde

The Elle trailer is set in 1995, well before the events of Legally Blonde. Instead of showcasing 'Elle' at Harvard Law School, the series focuses on her high school years and the varied experiences that have shaped her personality. Well, one of the top surprises in the trailer is when the family takes a very major move. It is shown that 'Elle', who had a perfect life in California, has her perfect life disrupted when her parents announce that her family is relocating to Seattle. The move is shown to force the fashion-loving teenager, and it becomes one of the series' central themes. 'Elle' is seen navigating through a new school, varied friendships and a different social landscape.

Elle fans feel that the casting for the series is perfect

Lexi Minetree in the form of 'Elle' will be shown leaving her friends, world and also Bel-Air. Her parents are seen breaking the news that she has to go to Seattle. 'Elle' is not happy with the news and seeing the trailer, a fan wrote, "I love the cast, but is anyone else a little bummed out that this prequel isn’t truly a prequel? This would’ve impacted the 'Elle Woods' we’ve come to know and love. Same plot as Bring it on all or nothing."

In 'Elle's sequence, the lead heroine gets her classic pink dress and arrives at a high school where her peers are always seen wearing non-funky colours and give her the side eye. 'Elle' is seen on the phone telling a friend that she does not really like speaking the same language as anyone here. She has been told to be fluent in Seattle. She has also been seen wearing a pink and a black-hued Nirvana shirt to school. Some netizens commented that Legally Blonde was exceptional.
