When Alia Bhatt had made her entry in Bollywood with the film, Student of the Year, Shanaya became the girl that every girl dreamt to be. With ‘Jimmy Choo & Manolo, Prada, Galliano, can’t get nuff, I want more and more... Louis Vuitton & the Stella Mccartney, Donatella Versace, I Use bag from GUCCI!!’ Shanaya reflected B-town divas, who could afford the brands that a common girl would think thousand times before even thinking of buying. But that doesn’t stop us from drooling over the celebrities or going green with envy by googling the prices when they flaunt these brands. One such luxury item was spotted being flaunted by the Poo of B-town, Kareena Kapoor Khan on January 12, 2020. "Kaun Hai Yeh Jisne Dobara Mudkar Mujhe Nahi Dekha?" – This is certainly that one dialogue from her film that Kareena Kapoor Khan would never need to say in her real-life! Be it Poo from Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Geet from Jab We Met, Kalindi from Veere Di Wedding, Deepti from Good Newwz or Kareena Kapoor Khan’s royal sartorial picks for events, airport and family get-togethers, Bebo is the undisputed fashion queen of Bollywood who makes us sing, Hor Dass Kinniya Tareefan, Chahidi Ae Tenu… every single time!
It was on January 12, 2020, when Kareena Kapoor Khan, Saif Ali Khan and Taimur Ali Khan had returned to Mumbai and as always, the Pataudi trio was a visual treat for all their fans. While Saif had opted for a pink shirt with a navy-blue sleeveless bomber jacket and black pants, baby Tim had looked the cutest in a blue T-shirt and jeans. Kareena stole the limelight in a black pantsuit and matched it with beige boots and a tan-coloured bag. Bebo had shelled out oomph in her open tresses, round-rimmed shades, soft tinted lips, a watch and a bracelet. But what stood out was her Birkin bag, which according to a Times Now report, costs $18,237 that roughly comes up to Rs 12,94,626.
In a throwback interview with Elle, when Kareena Kapoor Khan was asked “What does it take to build a legacy?” she had retorted, “Becoming an actor had nothing to do with my family. It was my passion. Contributing to the Kapoor legacy was important, but it was never expected that I had to do it. I wanted to do it. And my son,who knows whether he is going to be an actor or a sportsman? He might even want to be a chef. Whatever it is, Saif [Ali Khan; husband] and I are going to encourage him, because no child can flourish without support.” Revealing how she feels that her life choices would inspire other women, Bebo had stated, “I’m a working mother, and I’ve always been a working wife. I hope women understand the importance of finding the right balance—dividing your time between family, work and friends. I hope women take inspiration from what I’m trying to do.” (Also Read: Taimur Ali Khan Wears A T-Shirt Worth Rs 400 But His Cowboy Shoes Are Way Costlier Than His Outfit)
It is Taimur Ali Khan, who is following the footsteps of his mom, Kareena Kapoor Khan and has become the youngest fashion sensation of Bollywood. In an interview with Miss Malini, Kareena had revealed if she shops for him or not, “Well ya, I shop at Zara, H&M and Adidas. I mean I don’t believe in getting my son Gucci or Prada. I am very sorry. He doesn’t earn his own money. His parents work really hard to buy his outfits and you know, my parents never gave me branded clothes till I made my own money. I think both Saif and I are like that. He can do and wear what he likes but for now, he is wearing what his parents get for him – which is simple clothes. I don’t know why it’s becoming a fashion statement because I think it’s just normal track pants and t-shirts and that’s the way he is going to be.”
While every girl had dreamt over ‘Kareena wala designer lehenga’ since 2001 with Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham... it was with Veere Di Wedding that Bebo redefined the bridal lehenga for brides. Styled by Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla, Kareena had flaunted the flawless look as a modern bride in an off-shoulder lehenga and boho hairdo. Designer Sandeep Khosla talked about Kareena’s wedding lehenga from the film and had said, “Veere's wedding garment is actually a vintage garment of Abu Sandeep. It's something that we made 25 years ago. It was lying in our coffers...Rhea came to the factory and we started digging out a whole trunk and taking out old pieces. So then, we just reinvented it. The skirt remains the same. The blouse remains pretty much the same. Of course, it was altered to Kareena's size. Then we created a dupatta and just modernised it slightly. At the wedding time (in the movie), everybody is in AJSK vintage, which is great fun.” (Also Read: Vivek Dahiya's Wardrobe On A Movie Date With Divyanka Tripathi Costs More Than 1 Lakh!)
