Taimur Ali Khan Follows His Grandfather, Mansoor Ali Khan's Footsteps, Plays A Game Of Cricket

Late Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, also known as Tiger Pataudi is still remembered for his excellent game play in the history of Indian cricket. He had not only played for Indian team, but was even made the captain of Indian cricket team at a young age of 21. For those who don't know, at a young age,  the cricketer had a car accident which had made him lose his vision in one eye. However, this had never stopped Tiger from 'roaring' and he had made a remarkable name in Cricket. And looks like his grandson, Taimur Ali Khan, son of Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan is going to follow his footsteps. (Recommended Read: Prince Narula And His Wife, Yuvika Chaudhary Are Diagnosed With Dengue On Their Second Anniversary)

We remember once Kareena had shared that she wants her son, Taimur to be a cricketer. When the actress had joined Dance India Dance 7 in 2019 as one of the guests, she had stated that she wants Tim to take up cricket as his profession. Now, it seems like Taimur will soon fulfill his mommy's wish as he has already started practising for the gentleman's sport.

On October 13, 2020, Kareena took to her Instagram handle and shared an adorable glimpse of Taimur enjoying a cricket game. In the picture, we can see Taimur holding a cricket bat that's twice his size, and is gearing up to strike a ball. Alongside the picture, Kareena wrote, "Any place in the IPL? I can play too." Check it out below:

While Kareena is determined that her son, Taimur will be a sportsperson one day, Saif thinks otherwise. In an interview with Rediff.com, Saif had shared that he had tried to teach him cricket, but he hadn’t shown any interest. He had said, "I have tried to get him to play cricket. He is not interested in cricket or football. He is interested in singing, dancing and painting. He likes to make faces. Right now, he thinks he's Lord Rama. He loves the Ramayan."  (Also Read: Bigg Boss 14: Sidharth Shukla Flirts With Gauahar Khan, Says, 'Aap Ye Karengi Toh Muje Pyar Hojaega')

Taimur is soon going to turn four-years-old and he is all set to become a bhaiya too. In an interview with Anupama Chopra, Kareena Kapoor Khan had opened up on her second pregnancy. She had shared that she wants to stay healthy in her second pregnancy, "Last time, I just took myself for granted and became huge. I put on 25 Kgs. I don't want to do that. I just want to be healthy and fit. I think the first time, it's just excitement. Everyone's like parathe khao, ghee khao, doodh piyo, besan ka laddoos are coming. And now, I'm like listen I have done it before, I know what my body requires. My doctor's like 'listen you are not eating for two, that is just a myth. Just be healthy and be safe.' And that is what I am trying to do."

In the same interview, Kareena had talked about Taimur's thought on being 'bhaiya' and whether he is excited to welcome his little sibling. The actress had stated, “He is figuring out things. He is very ahead of his age. We never treated him like a kid. We treated him like an equal and adult. He is very friendly; a giving boy and I think he is ready.” (Don't Miss: Shraddha Kapoor Is Spell Bound With 'Maasi', Padmini Kolhapure's Singing In 'The Kapil Sharma Show')
