The great night of the Hindu God, Shiva is called Shivratri! It is said that this was the day when the Bholenaath married his ardhangini and Goddess, Parvati. The day is celebrated on the 13th night and 14th day of the lunisolar month of the Hindu calendar. On February 21, this year, the entire nation is showing their bhakti towards the great God. And television actress, Karanvir Bohra also celebrated the day with his ardhangini, Teejay Sidhu. Before we take you further into the story, let us inform you that Karanvir is one of the devotees of Shiva. The actor often shares snippets of his life on Instagram and once he had shared a picture Pashupatinath. Along with it, he had written, "Met her at #pashupatinath and she gave me a beautiful #rudraksh mala with such a sweet blessings "main tujhe superstar banadungi" #bholebaba ke dwaar pe bhole Baba Ka ek aur swaroop."
On February 21, 2020, Karanvir took to his Instagram handle and shared pictures of how his family celebrated the first Mahashivratri together. Along with it, he wrote, "My babies first #shivratri pooja .... They have such affinity for religious/spiritual rituals, be it at any #godsplace. It's time to take them and explore different parts of India and experience all the holy places and teach them about spirituality." Check it out below:
For those who don't know, Karanvir and Teejay had a filmy start to their love story. They had met through a model, Anupama Chopra and in their first meeting itself, they felt the sparks and the actor had even dropped his future Mrs to her home. We still remember how in an interview, Karanvir had shared that in the second meeting only he had decided to marry Teejay. And rest, as we say, is history! In an interview with the Statesman, Teejay had talked about meeting Karanvir for the first time, and had stated, "We met by chance one night at Mount Mary’s Church. He was there lighting candles, and so was I. And maybe we were both wishing for the same thing. At that time, I was certain I did not want to marry an actor but he was persistent from the day we met. He did not have the attitude that I thought an actor would have. He was not egoistic, vain, and he wasn’t interested in chasing girls. He only wanted one good person in his life. He was also very kind and had a high ‘spiritual quotient’ which really attracted me to him."
After 10 years of living happily as two, the couple was blessed by God's double grace in the form of twin angels. In a media interaction, Teejay had shared how Karanvir had reacted to her pregnancy news, and had revealed, "The news came as a pleasant shock. Karanvir didn't believe me at first when I informed him. In fact, it took us some time to digest the news. I'd signed a three-year contract for my TV show, and I wasn't expecting a little person just yet. But of course, we were thrilled! Work can wait. Now, it's time to trust God's timing and his plan."
