One of the most auspicious moments in the life of any married woman has arrived today (October 27, 2018). Yes, we are talking about Karva Chauth which is being celebrated by married couples across India, and our Bollywood and telly-land celebrities are giving us major marital goals today. Some are fasting with their wives, some are fasting without them, and in every case, we can’t help but get swayed into emotions. As we all know, on Karva Chauth a wife fasts the whole day and performs the traditional rituals for the well-being and longevity of her husband, and one such celeb couple who is doing it all together is Nisha Rawal and Karan Mehra. Yes, in Nisha’s own words, Karan is her fasting partner today. She shared an adorable picture of the two and beautifully captioned it as, “My Fasting Partner from Sargi to Moonrise. @realkaranmehra #HappyKarvachauth 6th year & counting”.
As the caption suggests, this is couple’s sixth Karva Chauth together. Nisha and Karan got married on November 24, 2012. And since then, have constantly been giving us relationship and marital goals.
For those who do not know, Nisha and Karan first met on the sets of the Hindi movie Hastey Hastey. In Karan’s own words, it was love at first sight. Karan once told a media portal, “It was love at first sight. Nisha is a beautiful soul. She understands me totally and is a perfect life partner. She is a driving force in my life and tries to keep a positive attitude in me, even under stress”.
The two can’t ever get tired of speaking reverently of each other. Talking about Nisha, Karan once said, “Nisha is the perfect partner who understands me totally. I feel lucky to have her in my life”. His wifey, Nisha said on the other hand about Karan, “Karan is a much-disciplined guy and has all the qualities of a dream man. He is also very caring by nature. Apart from being a doting and caring husband for Nisha, Karan is also an equally hands-on father. Karan and Nisha are blessed with their adorable one-year-old son, Kavish Mehra who was born on June 14, 2017.
Earlier, in an interview with a media house, when Karan was asked about his feelings after he became a father, he had said, “It's different actually. The feeling of knowing that the baby is inside was different and now that it is out, the feeling is even more different. Like now that we are feeding him, cleaning him and all, we are getting to experience a lot. You know in case I go out and suddenly I am like, oh we have a baby at home. The feeling hasn't sunk in yet”.
He had further added, “Actually he did not come directly into my hands. I saw him coming out and he was cleaned and then when he came into my hands I was like, Woah, that's my baby; he's finally into my hands." Talking about who does Kavish look like, Karan laughed and quipped, "Now I feel Kavish looks more like both of us. He looks more like me when I was young but now Nisha says that he resembles her. His hands, his ears, his toes are just like me. But honestly, at two weeks old, at that kind of phase, all the babies look the same to me”.
