Kangana Ranaut's obsession with Alia Bhatt is known to everyone as the former often looks jealous of her. Recently, a video clip of Kangana seemingly taking a dig at Alia for now getting all the awards is going viral on social media. Kangana Ranaut has joined politics and is contesting the Lok Sabha elections from Mandi, Himachal Pradesh on a BJP ticket. At the recent Times Now Summit, the actress was asked about her views on Rahul Gandhi and she said that she sees him as just another industry insider. Taking a dig at Alia Bhatt, Kangana called her a pampered child of the film industry, who got upset when the latter received too many awards. She said:
“Main unhe waise hee dekhti hu jaise film industry ka ‘raja beta’. Jaise waha unhone beti ko awards de diye. Ke kangana ko saare awards mil gaye, mujhe bhi chahiye. Ab ki baar saare awards unhi ko do. Naraz ho gayi hai yeh.”

Now, a video from the event surfaced online, and Kangana's statement raised many eyebrows. Many netizens flooded the post's comment section and slammed the actress for being jealous of Alia Bhatt. A user commented, "As if she is the first and only one person with a National Award. Kangna's obsession with Alia & Ranbir is to be studied well. Such a obsessive maniac." Alia Bhatt often faces Kangana Ranaut's disparaging remarks, but she always maintains that she has no feelings of negativity towards the latter. Once, during a media interaction, Alia was asked why she never reacted to Kangana's allegations and bullying against her. Responding to the same, the actress gave a beautiful answer and appreciated Kangana for always speaking candidly. Alia further added that her father, Mahesh Bhatt always taught her to give her opinion only if necessary and stated:
“I do not have that ability to speak as candidly as Kangana does and I really, really respect her for that. Maybe in a way she is right. Sometimes we do hold back, or maybe we think that ‘kyu khamakha bolne jayein'. My dad always says there are already so many opinions in the world, the world can do with one less opinion. So I have an opinion, but I will keep it to myself. Kudos to her, she genuinely speaks very well.”
