Veteran actress, Tanuja has turned a year older today, and the entire social media is flooded with pictures and clips from her iconic films. She is often regarded as one of the most prominent actresses of all time in the rich history of Indian cinema. Throughout her acting career, she was lucky and worthy enough to share the screen with some of the greatest actors ever. From making her acting debut with the film, Chhabili (1960) to introducing herself to the industry with her performance in Hamari Yaad Aayegi (1961), she became a prominent name in Indian cinema.
Even after so many years, Tanuja is still respected and admired by so many aspiring actors in India. On September 23, 2023, the veteran actress turned 80, and on her special occasion, it was her daughter, Kajol, who wished her in the sweetest way possible. The doting daughter shared a video in which she thanked her mother for always guiding her in her life. She said, “Happy eightieth birthday, mom. I can never thank you enough for everything you’ve taught me by example and still continue to do so today. I love you to bits and pieces.”

At the end of her lovely wish, Kajol also gave a few kisses to her mommy and signed off. In the video, we can see different throwback interviews of Tanuja in which she talked about how she treats the film industry as her own family. The love and gratitude that Tanuja had for the Hindi cinema can be seen as she credited her fans and all the co-stars with whom she worked. Tanuja said:
"Bred in the film industry. I was born and bred and brought up in this film industry, for me this is family."

Time and again, we have seen Kajol praising her both as a mother and an actress. Once, in an interview with ANI, Kajol thanked her mother for never paying any heed to society and always letting her dream big. The actress also added that her mom, Tanuja always told her to be responsible about her life and never take anyone’s opinions about herself seriously. Kajol admitted that this teaching helped her a lot in her acting career.
