Durga Puja is a special time for every Bengali, as these five days are filled with fun, laughter and merriment. From month-long preparations to minute final touch-ups, all arrangements are taken care of, so there is no pause in enjoyment for the next five days. And not to forget, these are the days when people forget all their worries and dress up and relish mouth-watering delicacies. The Bong-girl of Bollywood, Kajol, is no exception and has left no stone unturned to celebrate the most out of Durga Puja 2022.

For the unversed, the Mukerji family, with its notable Bollywood personalities like Rani Mukerji, Kajol, Ayan Mukerji and others, become the core members of one of the biggest Durga Puja celebrations in Mumbai.

On October 3, 2022, the gorgeous actress Kajol graced the Durga Puja mandap along with her mother and yesteryear actress Tanuja, her sister Tanishaa Mukerji and her son Yug Devgan. The day being Maha-Ashtami, or the eighth day of Durga Puja, the Mukerji family graced the pandal to perform the puja and seek the blessings of the divine mother.

One of the lesser-known facts about Kajol is that she is indeed a Bengali by birth since her late father, Shomu Mukerji, who was an eminent writer, director and producer, hailed from Bengal itself. And so, this gorgeous Bong lady makes it a point to visit the Durga puja pandal every year and offer her prayers.
