Kajol got hitched to the love of her life, Ajay Devgn on February 24, 1999. Afterwards, they were blessed with a daughter, Nysa and a son, Yug. On the professional front, Kajol was seen in the Disney Plus Hotstar series, The Trial: Pyaar, Kaanoon, Dhokha, an adaptation of the US show, The Good Wife. And during one such post-promotion of the same, she sat for a candid conversation and revealed some unmissable anecdotes from her wedding.
In an interview with Curly Tales, Kajol was asked about her wedding. To this, she revealed that her sisters had organised her entire wedding and looked after all the kinds of arrangements. She revealed having a “blast” during the time. Moreover, she mentioned that it was an intimate ceremony with not more than 50 guests and how the then-bride was extremely relaxed. She said:
“My two sisters had organised my whole wedding. From flowers, people to invitations, everything. I had a blast; they were very stressed out, my whole family was stressed out because they were organising everything. I, on the other hand, sat down for my make up which Mickey Contractor was doing and was fine and ready. I would be like, ‘Achcha theek hai, kaha pe jaana hai abhi, kya karna hai, kaise shot dena hai?'”

Apart from blissfully enjoying the moment, Kajol was also not being stressed at all. However, she was also very serious. Following this, Kajol revealed how she became restless at her wedding and instructed her husband, Ajay Devgn, to hurry up. This happened when the priest was taking too long, and Kajol wanted to speed up the process. Kajol added:
“While we were doing the wedding also, I’d tell Ajay to tell the pundit, ‘Just hurry up please!’ It was taking so long, and we got married in two customs– we had the Maharashtrian wedding and the regular ‘saath pheras’ . I was not stressed out. I was like, ‘Just hurry up now, I can’t sit here for too long!'"

After almost 2 decades of marriage, Kajol opened up about why she decided to marry Ajay Devgn at the peak of her career in Bollywood. In an old interview, she revealed the real reason to tie the knot with a less popular actor. To this, she said that it was the right thing for her then. Mentioning the reason, she mentioned that after working for around eight to nine years, she wanted a kind of calm on her work front.
The actress added that she thought about getting married and doing one film yearly. This was a sense of feeling settled in her life. And post-marriage, her work took a back seat. Then, she took a sabbatical after the birth of her daughter and returned to the silver screen with Fanaa. Following this, she has done a few selected movies after that.
