Iconic actress, Kajol has been in the headlines recently after South Indian superstar, Kicchcha Sudeep admitted in his latest interview that he is a huge fan of the actress. Not only this, but Kichcha also added that he would love to work with Kajol, as she is his favourite actress. Since then, the actress has been ruling the headlines, and the internet is hailing her as one of the best actresses of all time.
At the moment, Kajol is receiving all the love and admiration from her fans and people on the internet. A few moments back, the actress posted a picture of herself on one of her social media handles in which she addressed the debate around the colour of her skin. The post is now doing rounds on social media and is leaving everyone in splits.
On February 9, 2023, Kajol took to her Instagram stories and shared a hilarious picture of herself. In the photo, the actress can be seen donning a blue T-shirt and a pair of cool sunglasses. However, it was her complete black mask that caught everyone's attention. The actress can be seen trying the mask before purchasing it, as we can see the clothing security tag on top of her head. Kajol looked completely unrecognisable in the picture, and it was her savage note atop the picture. The actress wrote:
"To all those who ask me how I became so fair. #sunblocked #spfbeatable."
In recent times, we have seen trollers making fun of the actress for her fairer skin, as they stated that the actress was a bit brown in her early days and a sudden glow is possibly due to a cosmetic treatment. However, in most of her interviews, Kajol has time and again mentioned that the reason behind her fair skin is the fact that she no longer works in open sunlight like she used to work back in time.
Once in an interview with Pinkvilla, Kajol talked about people taking a jibe at her skin colour and speculating that she had undergone some sort of cosmetic surgery. However, smashing all the reports, the actress explained how tanning had damaged her skin. Kajol explained that after she had stopped working in direct sunlight for hours in the later stages of her career, she got her real colour back. The actress also added that she had not opted for any kind of skin-whitening surgery. She said:
"I have not undergone any skin whitening surgery. I have just stayed out of the sun! For 10 years of my life, I was working all the time under the sun, which is why I got tanned! And now I am not working in the sun anymore. So I've got untanned! It's not a skin whitening surgery, it's a stay-at-home surgery."
On the professional front, Kajol was last seen in the film, Salaam Venky.
