Kai Cenat is one of the most well-known streamers. At present, however, he has found himself in hot water. According to reports, he is hogging the spotlight after his company got sued by a man who attended his Streamer University events.

Why is Kai Cenat’s company getting sued, and what happened at his Streamer University event?

In the lawsuit that has now been obtained by TMZ, the lawsuit against Kai Cenat's company was filed by a man named Caleb Gottfried. Online, he is also known as SNVRK. Caleb claimed that he had attended Kai’s Streamer University event last month, in June 2026. Held at a college in Manhattan, the conditions at the event were so severe that he had two separate near-heatstroke incidents.

He even alleged that his condition was witnessed by several New York Police Department officers. In the filing, Caleb noted that the medical emergencies were caused by “negligent crowd control and total failure to provide standard safety and ventilation measures” at the event.

To make matters worse, Caleb Gottfried alleged that his image was used for promotional material for Streamer University without his permission.
As per the complaint, he appears as “background talent” for the commercial. However, he was never asked to sign a waiver or a release authorizing the use of his likeness. In the lawsuit, Caleb is hoping to get over USD 330,000 in damages.

Kai Cenat and his company are facing another incident following his bodyguard punching a man

It is worth mentioning that this is not the first lawsuit that Kai has found himself in the middle of in the last few days. Reportedly, a man claimed that one of the streamer’s security guards punched him during the Dominican Day Parade in 2025. According to the lawsuit filed by Dustin Batista in Bronx County Supreme Court on June 2, 2026, he was peacefully attending the parade when the incident happened.

Dustin claimed that he neither threatened, attacked, nor provoked anyone before the incident. Alongside Kai, he has accused bodyguard Lamont “Cuddy” Gilbert, talent management company Night Inc., and an unnamed security company of being responsible. As per the complainant, Lamont’s job at the event was to protect Kai Cenat, help manage the crowd, and make sure that the streamer was safely able to move through the parade.

Dustin claimed that Lamont’s punch caused him physical pain, emotional distress, medical expenses, and lost income. He also alleged that the incident made it harder for him to enjoy his normal life. Despite his claims, the lawsuit does not mention any specific injury or medical diagnosis. It also doesn't reveal how much compensation he is seeking from Kai Cenat and the others.

However, he wishes to hold Kai and his company responsible for what happened. Since Dustin was acting as an employee, contractor, or security representative for the other defendants, they should equally be held responsible. His complaint suggests that Kai, the unknown security firm, and Night Inc. did not properly employ, train, supervise, and manage the security guards. They also failed to provide sufficient crowd control measures and de-escalation techniques for an event that was busy in nature.

It has been reported that Night Inc., which Kai has been managing since they acquired LFM Management in 2023, allegedly does not do proper background checks on security guards, their training, and qualifications. The lawsuit only presents Dustin’s version of what happened and has not yet been proven in court.

Reacting to the same, a fan wrote on social media, “Unless there is some solid CCTV footage, livestream footage, hospital documentation and/or multiple witnesses, this ain't going anywhere. Suing someone for assault that happened over a year ago. Gonna need strong evidence to back up those claims.” Another user wrote, “Having watched clips of the people who attended this shit show, I have no doubt they probably deserved it.”
