The organization also eliminated age restrictions, allowing women over 18 to participate in the pageant. Justus Kelley became the first-ever mom and married woman to win the title, and now she is all set to compete in Miss Universe 2026, which will be held in Puerto Rico later this year. By winning Miss USA 2026, Justus Kelley became the first married woman to represent the U.S. in Miss Universe 2026. Speaking of her recent win, if the reports are to be believed, with the title, Justus also got a prize which is valued at USD 685K, which includes a USD 150K salary, a Range Rover, a one-year lease in a Miami apartment residence, along with a Westgate Vacation Home Club, and USD 30K in Miss Universe wardrobe.
Justus is from Arlington, Virginia, and completed her bachelor’s and master’s degrees at Indiana University. Justus is a senior philanthropic adviser at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and also launched Foster Footprints.

To mention, Justus is married and is a mother. She and her life partner, Tyler Rashad Kelley, both grew up in Indianapolis, Indiana, USA. The duo reportedly met back in 2013, and four years later, they tied the knot. From 2013 to 2017, Justus attended Indiana University Bloomington and even became Miss Indiana University.
After her wedding, Justus completed her master's degree. Over the years, Justus has been linked to several professions, and in 2025, she joined St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Arlington as a senior philanthropic advisor.
Speaking of her pageant journey, Justus was Miss Virginia USA 2025 third runner-up and the first runner-up of Miss District of Columbia USA 2025. Justus was Miss District of Columbia USA 2026 second runner-up, as well as Miss Virginia USA 2026. And now Justus has become the first mom to compete in Miss Universe 2026.
Justus Kelley is also a foster mom to two children. In an interview with PEOPLE, Justus revealed that she married her college sweetheart, Tyler, and that both had always dreamed of becoming foster parents; 13 years later, they fulfilled that dream by welcoming a 7-month-old and a 10-year-old into their lives. Currently, Tyler and Justus are fostering a sibling set and have described the children's biological parents as 'incredible'. Speaking about their dreams of fostering a child, Justus revealed to PEOPLE:
“From the beginning, we knew we wanted to be a safe, loving and welcoming home for children of any age, race, orientation or background. We wanted every child who came through our doors to know that they were safe, valued and worthy of being loved exactly as they are."
