JPMorgan Reacts To Sexual Harassment Claims On Lorna Hajdini, 'We Don't Believe There's Any Merit..'

Lorna Hajdini, a senior executive at JPMorgan, is currently dominating the headlines after she was involved in a sexual harassment case. For the unversed, as per the Daily Mail, the complainant, who filed a lawsuit against Hajdini under the pseudonym of John Doe, accused her of sexual assault, racial harassment, and drugging, among others.

JPMorgan branded John Doe’s sexual harassment complaint as ‘a complete fabrication’

The complainant, a former JPMorgan staffer identified as Chirayu Rana, stated in his complaint that the coercion began shortly after he joined JPMorgan’s leveraged finance team in 2024. He filed a complaint in May 2025 and alleged race- and gender-based harassment and abuse. The suit also named JPMorgan Chase as a defendant and accused the bank of failing to investigate the matter properly.

On the other hand, JP Morgan strongly denied the allegations and announced that it had initiated a thorough internal probe. A spokesperson for the band said that the HR department and in-house lawyers reviewed team phone records and emails and found no evidence supporting Doe’s claims. As per the source:

“Following an investigation, we don’t believe there’s any merit to these claims. While numerous employees cooperated with the investigation, the complainant refused to participate and has declined to provide facts that would be central to support his allegations.”

Amid the fiasco, Hajdini’s colleagues shared a completely different account, stating that Rana didn’t report to Hajdini and was supervised by another managing director, Jon Wolter. On the other hand, Hajdini reported to managing director Brandon Graffeo. Hajdini’s colleagues called her a ‘top performer’ and shared:

“He has tarnished her with a complete fabrication.”

What are the allegations against Lorna Hajdini?

According to the lawsuit filed against Lorna Hajdini in the New York Supreme Court, the plaintiff has alleged that she began to abuse him after joining his team in 2024. In his complaint, Doe mentioned that Lorna allegedly invited him for a drink, and as he refused, she threatened to ruin him. As per the lawsuit, Lorna told John he would have to start pleasing her if he wanted to get promoted and also accessed his bank accounts to track his every move. Lorna also allegedly landed up at John Doe's apartment and made sexual advances at him. When he didn’t comply with her advances, she started using racial slurs at him and his wife.

In May 2025, Doe delivered a written complaint to JPMorgan, where he complained about gender-based discrimination and harassment, and a pattern of severe sexual abuse. But instead of addressing the issue, he was reprimanded, put on involuntary leave, and locked out of the company system, as he shared. He also received threats over calls. No trial date has been set yet.
