Josh Allen and Brittany Williams’s love story started during their childhood. They first met in Fresno, California, at a birthday party for Allen’s brother when they were about 8 years old. Their first real date came years later.
Williams said she invited Allen to her school’s Sadie Hawkins dance, but she recalled that he felt nervous and overwhelmed, especially after arriving on a party bus with her friends. She also noted that students at her school were unkind to him. Following that night, she said they lost touch for about a year. Williams explained that she understood the timing was not right then, but she had always felt their story was not finished.
The pair reconnected during their freshman year of college. At that time, Williams was studying at California State University, Fresno, while Allen was at Reedley College, a two-year community college in California.
Brittany Williams said that Josh Allen reached out to her after a year with a message admitting he had messed up. Around the same time, she said her brother’s graduation party brought their families together, and Allen attended. She recalled that her then-boyfriend was also there, but that meeting Allen again changed things for her.
The former couple began dating in 2015 and soon faced long distance. Allen transferred to the University of Wyoming, more than 1,100 miles from Fresno. Williams, a Fresno State cheerleader at that time, said she frequently traveled to visit him. The long-distance period ended when Allen was selected by the Buffalo Bills in the 2018 NFL Draft, shortly before Williams graduated in spring 2018. She marked the moment on Instagram, expressing excitement about moving to Buffalo with him.
After relocating, Williams continued to support Allen publicly. In a 2018 tribute she posted online, she praised his work ethic, leadership, and ability to stay calm and confident through the season, adding that she admired how he balanced everything with a positive attitude.
The couple made their first major red carpet appearance together at the Super Bowl LIV NFL Honors in Miami in February 2020. After about six years of dating, reports indicated they ended their relationship in April 2023. Public attention grew that month after both unfollowed each other on social media and removed couple photos. Soon after, Williams was seen at the Kentucky Derby with friends, where a post from someone with her suggested she was single.
Brittany Williams has been active in a different field
Compared to her ex-boyfriend, Brittany Williams has pursued a completely different career. She is a certified Pilates instructor and the founder of an online fitness platform called Pilates by Britt, where she shares workout programs and wellness content.
She has also developed a presence as a fashion and lifestyle influencer. Williams has worked with brands including Alo, Revolve, and Talentless, and she uses social media to share fitness routines, travel moments, and brand partnerships. Brittany is active on Instagram with more than 153,000 followers.
