Jesse Ridgway Shares A Video Of Ashely After Abortion, Says Her Family 'Turned Their Backs' On Her

After receiving backlash for terminating a pregnancy over down syndrome concerns, Jesse Ridgway and his wife, Ashley Ridgway, have been the centre of a new debate on the internet. Recently, Jesse, better known as McJuggerNuggets, shared a private video, which showed Ashley recovering after undergoing an abortion procedure. In the post, he also made serious claims about how her family reacted throughout the situation. 

Jesse Ridgway reveals that Ashley's family have turned their backs on her 

Jesse Ridgway recently shared a video on Facebook on June 8, 2026. In the video, Ashley was seen resting in bed as she opened a care package sent by her in-laws. She held back her tears at the moment and read a heartfelt note that came with a bracelet gifted by Jesse's parents. It read, "Life is tough, but so are you". At the same time, the bracelet was a symbol for the "waves of life" she went through. The touching moment quickly went viral, and several supporters praised their gesture. 

However, in a note with the video, Jesse explained that he shared the video not just to show his family's support. Instead, he wanted to point out the lack of support from her relatives. Jesse claimed that Ashley's family had distanced themselves from her during one of the most difficult moments of her life. According to him, some family members publicly criticised the couple's decision and even accused them of manipulating Ashley into leaving him. He further revealed that they even got some messages during this difficult time, where they accused him of abusing and brainwashing Ashley. In his words:

"Her family has been nowhere to be found. Some even go so far as to join the bandwagon hate PUBLICLY, kicking her while she's down at her lowest point. She has received text messages from her family accusing me of abuse and that I'm brainwashing her…issuing ultimatums that she needs to LEAVE ME IMMEDIATELY. Audacious s*** that will have your head-spinning because of the delusion and lack of consideration."

In turn, the influencer called out the gossip and judgment coming from Ashley's family. He mentioned that their behaviour instead showed their true character when she needed their support. The controversy comes at a time when the couple is facing heat for their decision to terminate her pregnancy. But others have questioned the situation around the diagnosis and procedure. 

Jesse Ridgway slammed the rumours around Ashley's pregnancy and abortion

Before sharing the video, Jesse addressed many rumours on the internet. He also called out the misinformation around their decision. The influencer took to his Instagram handle and mentioned that several online conspiracy theories are going viral about Ashley's pregnancy. It also included the doubts about how far along she was and whether the down syndrome diagnosis had been confirmed or not. Despite the criticism, he stated that they would continue to speak openly about their experience. Slamming the rumours, he said:

"The conspiracy rabbit holes deepen as people start to question if it was all real or fake…?. Zooming in on ultrasound pics and my wife's belly? Internet detectives put in overtime only to discover their own tail. And we're the ones with a problem."

All about the controversy related to Jesse and Ashley Ridgway 

The controversy began earlier this year when popular influencers, Jesse and Ashley Ridgway announced that they were expecting their first child together. But what was meant to be a joyful phase turned out to be excruciating when they found out that their unborn baby had high chances of Trisomy 24. It is commonly known as down syndrome. 

In turn, they consulted doctors, genetic counsellors, friends and family members. But after a lot of thought, they ultimately decided to terminate the pregnancy. They cited the long-term challenges that the child could have faced, forcing them to make the difficult call. But it left the internet divided, and some criticism went overboard to the point that the couple had to increase their security.
