YouTuber Jesse Ridgway and his wife, Ashley Ridgway, were considered one of the cutest couples on the internet. The couple tied the knot back in October 2025, after several years of being together. Well, the couple was expecting, and their fans were left in joy with the same news until they revealed that they decided to terminate Ashley's pregnancy, and the reason was that they got to know that their unborn child had Down syndrome.

Such a revelation brought a whole lot of flak for Jesse and his wife, Ashley, on social media, and they revealed that this decision was not made lightly, and it was heartbreaking to them as well. Now, it seems Jesse is not second-guessing his decision, and during a livestream, he addressed the criticism he and Ashley received from social media users for their decision.

Jesse Ridgway, during a conversation with TMZ, talked about the harrasment that he and Ashley were getting. According to Jesse, they have even been getting death threats, so much so that they had to take extra precautions, like keeping a gun aside. Jesse, during the recent live stream, took a shot at his trolls and mentioned that he's glad that his dad didn't terminate him, but he's normal. His exact words were:

"I'm glad my dad didn't f***ing terminate me, but I'm normal."

When Ashley Ridgway had spoken about her pregnancy termination

During a TMZ live session, Ashley Ridgway spoke about her decision to terminate her pregnancy. The couple was the happiest when they got to know about their pregnancy, and they also announced the same. However, when they got to know that their to-be-born baby would be born with a rare ailment that every 1 baby in 1000 has, they made the decision not to bring the child into the world, and opted for abortion. According to the reports, the unborn child of Ashley and Jesse had Trisomy 21, which is a genetic disorder, where in the body there remains an extra copy of chromosome 21, which causes several health complications.

In the same conversation, Ashley spoke about people's negative reaction to them and the criticism and hate that they are getting. She mentioned that when her husband got to know about the Down Syndrome of their unborn baby, he reacted in the way, that anybody else would have. She also shared that the only difference is that their life is out there on social media, and that's why people can just come and comment about the same, while for others, if something like this were to happen, they wouldn't get such backlash.
