The former couple was a fan favorite, and many still seemed stuck in their dating era, even though they had reportedly moved on with their respective partners. As the duo never officially named a split reason, speculations regarding Karan having cheated on Jennifer persisted. Several reports even claimed that Jennifer Winget allegedly slapped Karan Singh Grover publicly after learning of his alleged affair.
The individual(s) with whom Karan got into affair(s) were not widely reported, except for some outlets like Orissa Post claiming that they were his alleged ex-fling. It was at the time when Karan and Jennifer were shooting for Dill Mill Gayye, and she allegedly slapped him right on set.

During their stint on the show, their on-screen romance evolved into a real-life love story, and after dating for two to three years, they married in April 2012. After two years of marriage, Karan and Jennifer officially announced their separation in November 2014.
Jennifer revealed in interviews that neither she nor Karan was ready for the commitment of marriage at that stage in their lives. She described it as "unfortunate timing," noting they were better as friends. At the time of their split, speculations of infidelity surfaced, alleging that Karan's growing closeness with Dhoom 2 fame, Bipasha Basu was a major factor in his split with Jennifer.
Following the divorce, Karan Singh Grover married Bipasha Basu in 2016, and Jennifer Winget was rumored to be dating her Code M (2020) co-star, Tanuj Virwani. Tanuj publicly denied the rumours, and after that, she was linked to her long-term friend, Karan Wahi. In January 2026, viral social media posts suggested that Karan and Jennifer were planning to tie the knot this year. The speculations stemmed from their on-screen reunion after 17 years in the web series, Raisinghani vs Raisinghani (2024).
