Did Jennifer Lawrence have an affair with actor Chris Pratt?
Jennifer Lawrence acted opposite Chris Pratt in the movie Passengers. The movie had an extremely cute press tour, and adding their fun dynamic on top of that, it led many to believe that the two were more than friends. The fact that Chris Pratt’s marriage to Anna Faris came to an end just a few years after that did not help their case.
As rumors spread like wildfire that Jennifer’s on-set relationship with Chris was the reason his marriage ended, the actress had to take it upon herself to address the issue. During an interview with KISS FM, Jennifer said that Chris and Anna divorced two years after Passengers came out, so there was no way talks of the affair were true. Jennifer added:
"I never had an affair with Chris Pratt on Passengers. That’s a good one…I mean they got a divorce like two years later, and everybody was like Jennifer Lawrence! And I was like, what the…what I’m in Montreal two years later."
Meanwhile, Anna Faris also addressed the rumors that her husband had cheated on her with Jennifer. In her memoir, Unqualified, Anna revealed that before Chris and Jennifer met in person, her publicist pulled her aside to warn her that the paparazzi would be all over the duo and that she should brace herself. Anna also clarified that in reality, she and Jennifer Lawrence were on friendly terms.
She recalled that Jennifer even apologized to her, even though she didn't do anything wrong. Anna wrote:
“‘There are going to be shots of them laughing together on their way to set. There are going to be stories circulating, and you have to brace yourself for this.' Jennifer and I really are friendly, and she was apologetic even though she didn’t need to be, because she hadn’t done anything wrong."
The fact that Jennifer Lawrence did not have an affair with Chris Pratt was also evident when she admitted how awkward she felt about her on-screen romance with Chris Pratt. Many might not be aware, but Jennifer had her first sex scene with the actor in Passengers. Noting how bizarre it felt to do such a scene with a married man, Jennifer shared:
“I had my first real sex scene a couple weeks ago, and it was really bizarre. It was really weird. It was going to be my first time kissing a married man, and guilt is the worst feeling in your stomach. And I knew it was my job, but I couldn’t tell my stomach that.”

As Jennifer Lawrence launched her verified account on Instagram, she hilariously quipped in the description that “jenniferlawrence was taken,” referring to her @jlaw handle name. In her first post, The Hunger Games actress shared a video where she said, “So, I'm giving it a shot.” She added that she was fully prepared to delete it, no questions asked, if anyone said anything negative.
Later, Jennifer took to her Story to further warn her millions of followers to be mindful that any kind of aggressive comments can affect the baby. The actress clarified before anyone mistook her words, “It's me. I'm the baby.”
