JD Vance Reveals WHCD Shooting Was Even 'Tougher' For His Indian-Origin 4th Time Pregnant Wife, Usha

On Sunday, i.e. April 25, 2026, a gunman opened fire outside the ballroom during the White House Correspondents Dinner. The shocking incident has constantly been hitting the headlines. The gunman was detained and shot and killed. Reportedly, the suspected shooter, i.e., 31-year-old Cole Tomas Allen, breached the security of the Washington Hilton hotel and attempted to assassinate President Donald Trump. The room was filled with journalists and other high-profile officials.

Trump and JD Vance, along with others, were taken out of the place on time, and they were unharmed. Now, JD Vance spoke about the same. According to him, this situation was even 'tougher' for his pregnant wife, Usha Vance. For those who don't know, JD Vance got married to Usha Vance back in 2014, and they are parents to three kids. It was in January 2026, when Usha and JD Vance revealed that they were expecting their fourth child.

JD Vance says that the WHCD shooting was even tougher for his 4th time pregnant wife, Usha Vance

Well, JD Vance, while speaking on The Will Cain Show, recently shared that although Usha was not in the room during the shooting incident, it was extremely tough for her, given that she got to know about this shooting incident through text messages and social media. JD Vance also had no idea about what was going on, and he revealed that he was sitting beside Trump when a whole lot of commotion began.

JD Vance had no idea what was up, and he just heard several noises and saw people ducking under the table and responding to what was going on. It was just during the moment when a secret service agent came forward and whispered in Vance's ear that it was time to leave. Later, the agent held Vance by his jacket and whisked him off his feet, and he was held in the holding room. The agent was injured during his shooting, and speaking about the same, Vance said:

"The first thing that happened that action freaked me out a little bit was we heard an agent had been shot, and in the fog of war, I thought ‘Oh, my god, this guy is actually seriously injured or maybe worse. We found out later, of course, he was not injured, not seriously injured."

Usha Vance spoke about having a fourth child

Usha further mentioned how she was enjoying her last pregnancy while working from home. She also shared her current state, adding that she gets carsickness often. Usha said:

"I enjoyed my last pregnancy, there were a lot of sweat pants. I was working from home, sometimes put a blazer on over what was under. So there are some little differences. And then our transportation is rather different. I have to ride in the back seat now, so I get carsick all the time."
