Hema Malini's 75th birthday party has now become the talk of the town, as it was a star-studded affair. Several celebrities, including Rani Mukerji, Madhuri Dixit, Shilpa Shetty, Jaya Bachchan and Rekha, among others, attended the event. Jaya, who is well-known for her not-so-friendly encounter with paparazzi, happily posed for them at the event. A video from the event, which surfaced online, showed Jaya smiling for pictures and also schooling the paparazzi.
Jaya Bachchan opted for a traditional beige-hued ensemble for Hema Malini's 75th birthday bash. She tied her hair into a gajra-adorned bun and looked elegant. The actress, along with Padmini Kolhapure, posed for pictures and told the media with a laugh that Padmini brought her here. Someone from the paps was quick to point out that it's difficult to convince Jaya Bachchan for photos. Jaya was heard saying:
“Yeh Padmini mujhe yaha le kar aayi hai.”

As the ladies posed together at the photo booth, they were seen happily chatting with each other in between. While it was a delight to see Jaya Bachchan in a jolly mood, photographers kept telling her to look at the cameras. This irked the actress, and she asked the paps not to give her so much direction for photos. Thereafter, she quickly wrapped up the photo session with a namaste and walked away. Jaya was heard saying:
“Avi aap log itna direction mat dijiye.”
As soon as Jaya Bachchan's video went viral on the internet, netizens were quick to react to the same. While some were surprised to see the actress smiling and laughing during the photo session, others slammed her for being rude. Reacting to the video, one user commented, "She sounds very rude all the time". Another user penned, "She genuinely looks like she has lost it. No wonder Amitabh stays separate. She was frustrated and now this."

In the video, Jaya warned the shutterbugs not to shout as they asked her to pose and said:
"I am not deaf, aaram se baat karo."
