On May 21, 2020, Jay took to his Instagram handle and shared his daughter, Tara's first reaction on seeing him host. The actor posted a video, wherein we can see the little girl in awe of her father's voice as he was busy hosting for his show, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa and in the end, she lovingly clapped for her father. Recently, in a joint interview with ETimes, Jay and Mahhi had reminisced the feeling of becoming parents. Jay had shared how his wife, Mahhi's pregnancy had changed him. The actor had revealed that during the course of nine-months, he had not missed a single checkup and sonography test of his wife. The actor had shared, "I have realised one thing that aadmi kitna bhi tedha ho...when his wife is pregnant and delivers their baby, he changes. I have changed a lot and have become caring. What I have seen her going through in those 9 months of pregnancy my respect for her and all the women/mothers have increased. There was not a single checkup or sonography test of Mahhi during her pregnancy that I have missed. I accompanied her on all the appointments and I was there every time she needed me. It was a very stressful moment and the 9 months of the wife's pregnancy changes a lot in a man." Ever since, Jay had gotten promoted to 'papa bear', he has been anxiously waiting for his princess to call him 'papa' and his wish was fulfilled on April 6, 2020. We had seen the adorable girl saying 'papa' for the first time in a cute video which was shared on her Instagram handle, managed by Mahhi and Jay.
