On September 15, 2019, Jay took to his Instagram handle and shared a sleepy selfie with his little daughter on his shoulder. He captioned the picture as "Getting Burp out of your little one is probably the best satisfaction I have come across. Tired hands sleepy eyes but your daughter on your shoulder Priceless. Coming back to the interview where Jay had expressed his wish of having a baby girl. The actor had stated, "No relationship in the world can match the sanctity of a father-daughter relationship. I wish that my wife gives birth to a baby girl. I have no gender preference and it is not that I won’t like it if it’s a boy. It’s just that I have experienced the father-son connect with my dad, and now, I want to see how a daughter bonds with her dad."  (Also Read: Kapil Sharma's Heavily Pregnant Wife, Ginni Chatrath Stands For Hours And Takes Care Of TKSS Team)

In another interview with the IANS, Jay had shared how he is honing his lullaby skills for his baby girl. He had said, "I want to help Mahhi in whatever ways possible. I would want Mahhi to take complete care of herself and our baby, so to help her not missing out on her sleep later in the months, I am learning lullabies and practicing it daily."

He had further added, "It would be great if I am able to take responsibility for calming our baby in the middle of the night. I spoke to all the captains -- Salman Ali, Sachin Valmiki, Nitin Kumar and Jyotica Tangri and, they came up with this idea to learn lullabies. Not confident of pulling it off, I told them it's not possible for me to do. But they are giving me all the confidence. I told them not to force me, but they are all too excited to teach me. So, I am finally taking lullaby classes now."

For those who don't know, Jay and Mahhi have adopted their caretakers' kids and giving them the best of life. In an interview with BollywoodLife, Mahhi had talked about them and had shared, "A lot of people keep asking my friends if they are our kids because we feel that they are our kids. We want to give the best in our capabilities. I don’t care what people say they have all the time in the world to talk. They stay with us we have no issues of them being a part of our space. Kids are adorable, Jay and I love them. We want to educate them and yes in the future even if we have our own kids we will give the same life. We will not differentiate." (Don't Miss: Kamya Panjabi Receives The Most Important Approval For Her Beau From Bestie, Kavita Kaushik)
