Television actor, Nakuul Mehta and his singer-wife, Jankee Parekh Mehta, are avid social media users and often take to their respective handles to share glimpses from their personal life. After dating for 9 years and enjoying a marital life for 9 more years, Nakuul Mehta never fails to set the bar of marriage goals very high with his childhood love and wife, Jankee Parekh Mehta.
It was in 2020, that the duo had come to know that they are going to embrace parenthood very soon. On February 3, 2021, Nakuul Mehta and Jankee Parekh Mehta were blessed with a baby boy, whom they had happily named, Sufi. Nakuul and Jankee had announced the news of welcoming their first child by sharing the first glimpse of their newborn. To announce the good news, Nakuul and Jankee had written, “February 3, 2021, This is Us Grateful and sleepy in equal measure. *Ing: @nakuulmehta & Him.”

A few minutes ago, Jankee Parekh Mehta took to her IG handle to share a Reel in which she and Nakuul were seen celebrating Sufi's six-month birthday. A few of their close family members graced the occasion with their presence. In the video, Jankee revealed that she prepared dal baati for the family lunch. Their house was decorated with blue and pink balloons. However, during the cake cutting, the little munchkin had fallen asleep.
Sharing the Reel on her IG handle, Jankee thanked her family members on Sufi's behalf for being there to celebrate his half birthday. She captioned the video as "Dear You, Thank you for attending my very intimate 6-month birthday gathering, virtually. Mumma conveyed all your love and blessings to me in my ears. Squishy hugs back. Yours, Sufi. P.S - Also, big love to @dinky_nirh aunty & @blinng.kraft.events for sending across these lovely balloons and the elephant. My house looked so pretty. P.P. On February 14, 2021, Nakuul Mehta had taken to his IG handle to share the name of his baby boy with his fans. Revealing the name of the little munchkin, the actor had revealed how they had zeroed in on the name. He had written, "‘Sufi’ A name that we decided when we were 3 months pregnant for our to-be first born, irrespective of the gender."
Going further in his heartfelt note, Nakuul had revealed the meaning of the name, Sufi. He had added, "Sufi symbolises spirituality, art, philosophy, literature, soul, song and everything that we stand for & beyond. From the time you were born, you have filled up our lives and hearts with so much love and if I'm allowed to customise this caption dictated by the Missus, sleepless nights."
