"When I arrived, she worked extensively in the Quality Control and Publishing Departments. She worked closely with Berry and the producers. She was also an accomplished songwriter who helped co-write some of Motown’s early hits, such as Barrett Strong’s Money and even Little Stevie Wonder’s Contract of Love. I believe she also wrote songs for The Temptations, Mary Wells, and The Supremes, to name a few."
Janie's fans offered all the support to her friend, Martha. An internet user offering condolences wrote, "Aside from all her contributions to Motown, music and history… she was your friend. My condolences to you. A loss of the culture indeed...Rest in peace and condolences. God rest her soul; definitely keeping you and everyone else in my prayers." A fan even penned:
"Dr. Reeves, I am so very sad to hear this news. I am so sorry for your loss. My deepest sympathy and condolences are with you and Janie Bradford's family at this time. Janie Bradford did so much for Motown!! May she Rest In Heavenly and Eternal Peace and Rest In Power. Again, so sorry for your loss."
Martha also stated how Janie was a champion of picking the right teams of people. And as years went by, she kept the Motown family together. For the unversed, Janie passed away at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center located in Los Angeles. Jeanie was the founder of Mountain Goat Music and also opened the Music Notes Gift Shop in Beverly Hills. Jeanie first made her name in Detroit during the early years.
